CIGoM-CICESE Cetacean sightings

The purpose of this study was to develop a baseline on the distribution and abundance of cetaceans and to identify areas of critical habitat in the Mexican waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Four aerial surveys were conducted between August 2015-February 2017 using distance sampling protocols and folowing a predetermined zig-zag pattern.
