EK80 Water Column Sonar Data Collected During PC2301

NOAA Ship Pisces conducted a survey of reef fish located on the U.S. continental shelf and shelf-edge of the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) from March 23 to May 18, 2023. The area of operation was the U.S. shelf waters of the GOM (26° 50’ N, 96° 50’ W; 24° 50’ N, 83° 50’ W) in depths between approximately 14 and 150 m. 536 sites were selected to be sampled with three Spherical/Satellite arrays, and select sites were sampled with the CTD rosette during daylight hours. Mapping was conducted at night at randomly selected areas within reasonable proximity (e.g. within 1-2 hr transit) of the current working area.
