NOAA JPSS Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) Nadir Profile Ozone Environmental Data Record (EDR) from IDPS

This global Level-2 (L2) Environmental Data Record (EDR) provides ozone profile estimates acquired by the Ozone Mapping and Profiling Suite (OMPS) onboard the Suomi-NPP satellite. The data are derived from backscattered UV radiation (between 250-310 nm) detected by the OMPS Nadir Profiler at a spatial resolution of 250 km at nadir. This data set is generated from the OMPS NP Sensor Data Record (SDR) and is produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS). The data are distributed by the Comprehensive Large Array-Data Stewardship System (CLASS) as aggregated 101 minute files consisting of 163 (37 second) granules in the HDF5 file format with metadata attributes included. This product continues the heritage data produced by the Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet Radiometer (SBUV)/2 on board NOAA-16, but with higher fidelity. Note: This product is deprecated and has been replaced by an updated version produced from NDE (gov.noaa.ncdc:C01448).
