NOAA JPSS Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) Reprocessed Nadir Total Column Sensor Data Record (SDR) from STAR

The global Level-1B (L1B) reprocessed (versions RP1 & RP2) Sensor Data Records (SDR) from the Ozone Mapping and Profiling Suite (OMPS) provide calibrated and geolocated radiance data produced from OMPS Raw Data Records (RDR). The data are derived from ultraviolet, visible, and near infrared observations (between 300-380 nm) detected by the OMPS Nadir Total Column Mapper at a spatial resolution of 50 km at nadir. The reprocessing generated consistent Level-1b SDRs using unified and consistent calibration algorithms that removed artificial jumps in data caused by operational changes, instrument anomalies, contamination from anomaly views of the environment or spacecraft, and other causes. OMPS reprocessed version 1 (RP1) data was produced using the operational calibration algorithm dated on 30 September 2018 and covered the time period from 30 January 2012 to 30 September 2018. OMPS reprocessed version 2 (RP2) data was produced using the operation calibration algorithm dated on 30 June 2021 and covered the time period from 30 January 2012 to 30 June 2021. This product is produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) and is distributed by the Comprehensive Large Array-Data Stewardship System (CLASS) as aggregated 101 minute (full orbit) files consisting of 163 (37 second) granules in the HDF5 file format with metadata attributes included.
