CTD data collected on three NSF RAPID Plankton cruises on R/V Point Sur and R/V Pelican in the Gulf of Mexico during 2017-2018 (NCEI Accession 0278700)

This dataset contains biological, chemical, optical, and physical data collected on R/V Pelican and R/V Point Sur during cruises PE18-18, PE18-21, and PS1813 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2017-11-03 to 2018-03-22. These data include O2 saturation, Oxygen in volts, PAR, beam attenuation, colored dissolved organic matter, conductivity, density, depth, dissolved Oxygen, fluorescence, light_trans, potential temperature, and salinity calculated from CTD primary sensors. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD Sea-Bird SBE 911plus, Fluorometer, LI-COR Biospherical PAR Sensor, Sea-Bird SBE 43 Dissolved Oxygen Sensor, and Wet Labs CSTAR Transmissometer. These data were collected by Astrid Schnetzer of North Carolina State University, Simon Geist of Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, and Beth Stauffer and Kelly L. Robinson of University of Louisiana at Lafayette as part of the "Collaborative Research: RAPID-HARVEY: Response of plankton assemblages and trophodynamics to a historic, hurricane-induced floodwater plume in a subtropical, pelagic environment (RAPID Plankton)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2021-08-05.
