Nitrate uptake from short-term diel deckboard incubations on R/V Nancy Foster cruises NF1704 and NF1802 in the Gulf of Mexico in May of 2017 and 2018 (NCEI Accession 0278710)

This dataset contains chemical, optical, and physical data collected on R/V Nancy Foster during cruises NF1704 and NF1802 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2017-05-12 to 2018-05-17. These data include Ammonium, Nitrate, depth, irradiance, and particulate organic nitrogen. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD profiler, Elemental Analyzer, Isotope-ratio Mass Spectrometer, and Photosynthetically Available Radiation Sensor. These data were collected by Michael Stukel and Thomas Kelly of Florida State University as part of the "Collaborative Research: Mesoscale variability in nitrogen sources and food-web dynamics supporting larval southern bluefin tuna in the eastern Indian Ocean (BLOOFINZ-IO)" and "Effects of Nitrogen Sources and Plankton Food-Web Dynamics on Habitat Quality for the Larvae of Atlantic Bluefin Tuna in the Gulf of Mexico (GoMex Tuna Foodweb B)" projects and "Second International Indian Ocean Expedition (IIOE-2)" program. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2021-04-06.
