This weekly product is used as an input to land surface models and numerical weather predicton (NWP) models. The data are produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) and distributed by the Comprehensive Large Array-Data Stewardship System (CLASS) in the NetCDF-4 file format with metadata attributes included.",
