This study estimated the abundance of microplastics (i.e. plastics measuring less than 5mm, reported in units of MPs/kg d.w and MPs/m2) in five sampling sites on sandy beaches of Chiapas, Mexico, during 2023-02-05 to 2023-02-12. Beach sand were collected with a stainless-steel spatula for examination of microplastics. This dataset contains the results from all 25 samples, in a spreadsheet format.
