    "description": "This dataset contains zooplankton and ichthyoplankton abundances from bongo net tows during the third East Coast Ocean Acidification cruise (ECOA-3). The cruise took place from August 6 to September 23, 2022 aboard the NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown. The bongo net tows were performed at subset of 73 ECOA-3 stations along the East Coast of North America. The cruise was designed to obtain a synoptic snapshot of key carbon, physical, biological and biogeochemical parameters as they relate to ocean acidification (OA) in the coastal realm. The bongo net tows support the biological sampling component of the cruise in an effort to link chemical and physical drivers to biological and ecological effects. This effort was conducted in support of the monitoring and research objectives of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program (OAP).",
