NOAA JPSS Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Cloud Top Height (CTH) Environmental Data Record (EDR) from IDPS

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains a high quality operational Environmental Data Record (EDR) from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument onboard the Suomi-NPP satellite and is produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS). The retrieval algorithm utilizes VIIRS channel brightness temperatures and reflectances.

NOAA GOES-R Series Space Environment In-Situ Suite (SEISS) Instrument Calibration Data

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The Space Environment In-Situ Suite (SEISS) Instrument Engineering Telemetry Data file contains data used to monitor and evaluate the health and performance of the sensor suite. This data is transmitted to the ground in raw digital counts, and subsequently converted into physical units by the ground system. All the data pertains to the temperature of components in the sensor suite. Primarily, this includes temperatures for the telescopes and other sensing components.

International Surface Temperature Initiative (ISTI) Global Land Surface Temperature Databank - Stage 2 Daily

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The global land surface temperature databank contains monthly timescale mean, max, and min temperature for approximately 40,000 stations globally. It was developed as part of the International Surface Temperature Initiative. This is the global repository for all monthly timescale land surface observations from the 1800s to present and uses data deriving from sub-daily, daily, and monthly observations.

NOAA JPSS Spacecraft Mission Notice reports for Suomi-NPP

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This metadata record covers spacecraft mission notice reports for the Suomi-NPP satellite. These notices identify noteworthy mission activities and events such as outages, orbital events, maneuvers, launches, and transition to data denial mode. This product is produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS) and is distributed by the Comprehensive Large Array-Data Stewardship System (CLASS).

NOAA GOES-R Series Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) Level 2 Cloud Top Phase (ACTP)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) Cloud Top Phase product contains an image with pixel values identifying the presence of cloud in four phase categories. The categories, which are consistent with heritage NOAA and NASA cloud products, include: Warm liquid water: liquid water cloud with an opaque cloud temperature greater than 273 degrees K; Supercooled liquid water: liquid water topped cloud with an opaque cloud temperature less than 273 degrees K; Mixed phase clouds: high probability of containing both liquid water and ice near cloud top; Ice phase clouds: all ice topped clouds.

United States Climate Reference Network (USCRN) Raw Observations from Datalogger

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Datalogger files are raw USCRN data. However, instead of being collected via satellite, the raw data are collected from station dataloggers (also referred to as PDAs--Personal Digital Assistant) in the field during site maintenance visits by NOAA/ATDD engineers. These data are uploaded to a site at Oak Ridge National Lab from where they are pulled by NCEI. These raw data are received as CSV formatted files--detailed documentation are required to read the data and will be provided to ingest. These files may not be available until months after the included observations are made.

NOAA GOES-R Series Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) Level 2 Rainfall Rate Quantitative Precipitation Estimation (RRQPE)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The GOES-R Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) Rainfall Rate Quantitative Precipitation Estimate (RRQPE) product contains an image with pixel values identifying the rainfall rate. The product includes data quality information that provides an assessment of the rainfall rate data values for on-earth pixels. The units of measure for the rainfall rate value is millimeters per hour. The product image is produced on the ABI fixed grid at 2 km resolution for the Full Disk coverage region.

BASE Temperature Data Record (TDR) from the SSM/I and SSMIS Sensors, CSU Version 1

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The BASE Temperature Data Record (TDR) dataset from Colorado State University (CSU) is a collection of the raw unprocessed antenna temperature data that has been written into single orbit granules and reformatted into netCDF-4. The temperature data are from the Special Sensor Microwave Imager (SSM/I) and Special Sensor Microwave Imager Sounder (SSMIS) series of passive microwave radiometers carried onboard the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) satellites.

NOAA JPSS Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) Limb Profiler Environmental Data Record (EDR) from NDE

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This global Level-2 (L2) Environmental Data Record (EDR) provides high resolution ozone profile estimates acquired by the Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) onboard the Suomi-NPP satellite. The data are derived from observations (between 290-1,000 nm) detected by the OMPS Limb Profiler (LP) with an estimated vertical resolution of 700 m at nadir. The EDR also contains quality information including quality flags, measurement sensitivities, and retrieval efficiency factors.
