The U.S. Hourly Climate Normals for 1991 to 2020 provides hourly meteorological parameters for hundreds of U.S. stations located across the 50 states, as well as U.S. Territories and Commonwealths, and the Compact of Free Association nations. These stations are now largely automated, and are usually part of the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) or Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS). The hourly normals include temperature, dew point, heat index, wind chill, wind, cloudiness, heating and cooling degree hours, pressure normals, and other statistics of these variables.

NOAA Profiler Network (NPN) Vertical Wind Profile Data

The NOAA Profiler Network (NPN) radars provide vertical profiles of horizontal wind speed and direction from near the surface to above the tropopause. The system also generates data quality related statistics such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and spectrum width. There are three systems in Alaska (Talkeetna, Anchorage, and Homer), with an additional testbed site in Norman, OK. The location and ICAO ID for the NOAA NPN sites are: Norman, OK - ROCO2/KROC; Homer, AK - HWPA2/KHWP; Talkeetna, AK - TLKA2/KTLK; and Anchorage, AK - AWPA2/KAWP.

NWS US Radiosonde B & C BUFR High Resolution

The Binary Universal Form for the Representation of meteorological data (BUFR) is a binary data format maintained by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). In 2015 part of the US upper air stations began to include the high resolution radiosonde measurement in their data package sent to the NCEI. These high resolution BUFR files have names as Cnnn, where nnn represents ascension number.
