Hyperspectral imagery to study harmful algal blooms (HABs) of Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair, and Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron of the Great Lakes region

The hyperspectral images in this collection contain flights over the western basin of Lake Erie, and Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron of the Great Lakes region during the HAB season from typically June until the end of October. Images were acquired from a manned aircraft with a Resonon hyperspectral imaging camera. Each flight has approximately 200-400 images along the flight trajectory that are in band interleave per pixel (.bip) or band interleave per line (.bil) format. The files are in raw binary, radiance values, and reflectance values.

Aerial Imagery over U.S. Coastal Areas collected by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management dating from 1944 to Present

This aerial imagery dataset consists of high resolution (1 inch up to 1 meter) true color, infrared, 4-band, black and white, and hyperspectral ortho-rectified mosaic tiles collected in coastal areas to support shoreline and coastal mapping efforts. This data is created as a product from the NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) from data collected by the NOAA National Geodetic Survey (NGS), the NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

NOAA 1/4-degree Daily Optimum Interpolation Sea Surface Temperature (OISST) Analysis from AVHRR and AMSR, Version 2

This high-resolution sea surface temperature (SST) analysis product was developed using an optimum interpolation (OI) technique. The SST analysis has a spatial grid resolution of 0.25 (1/4) degree and temporal resolution of 1 day. The product uses Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) infrared satellite data from the Pathfinder AVHRR SST dataset and additional microwave satellite data from the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer on the EOS platform (AMSR-E), which was available from 2002 to 2011.

This data archive contains the Modular Optical Underwater Survey System (MOUSS) stereo-video data from the NOAA Ship Oscar Elton Sette (Cruise SE-17-02) collected around the Main Hawaiian Islands (MHI) for the stock assessment of the Deep 7 Bottomfish species. The Deep 7 are the most culturally important and highly valued of the deep-water bottomfish species in Hawaii composed of six snapper species and one grouper species. Dates of the survey range from 2017-03-09 to 2017-03-22.
