International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set (ICOADS) Near-Real-Time (NRT) - Daily, Release 3.0.2

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set (ICOADS) is the world's most extensive surface marine meteorological data collection. Building on national and international partnerships, ICOADS provides a variety of user communities with easy access to many different data sources in a consistent format. Data sources range from early historical ship observations to more modern, automated measurement systems including moored buoys and surface drifters.

Global Historical Climatology Network-hourly (GHCNh), Version 1

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Global Historical Climatology Network-hourly (GHCNh) is a multisource collection of weather station (meteorological) observations from the late 18th Century to the present from fixed weather stations over land across the globe. It is replacing the Integrated Surface Dataset (ISD) and will be used to generate the Local Climatological Data and Global Summary of the Day datasets. It is constructed to align with GHCN daily. Version 1 contains approximately 110 separate data sources and will be updated daily using the United States Air Force and NOAA Surface Weather Observations data streams.

NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of IR Sounder Upper Tropospheric Humidity BT, Version 4.0

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset covers the IR Sounder Upper Trop Humidity BT CDR that is based on the high-Resolution Infrared Sounder (HIRS) suite of intersatellite calibrated channel 12 brightness temperature (BT) and from the Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) measurement that is used to derive equivalent HIRS channel 12 BT. The channel is designed to measure upper tropospheric humidity. Cloud-screening is performed and clear-sky pixels are used to generate the product. The time series has a global coverage in monthly 2.5x2.5 degree latitude/longitude from 1978 to the present.

Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) Ancillary Files

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains the Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) ancillary (deployment) files. These are HTML pages which have auxiliary data associated with each data set in the deployment. The data file formats are in text (ASCII) and HTML. The images are in JPG and PNG formats; they are not compressed. The time period covered by the MOBY ancillary (deployment) dataset begins at 1997-07-29. The project is ongoing and continuous. More data is added as updates to the data record become available.

Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) "Gold" Satellite Sensor Calibrated Files

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains the Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) "gold" satellite sensor calibrated files. These are TXT ASCII files. The files have Lw and Es, Lwn, or Lw (and Lwn) using Modeled KL which have been weighted by the specific satellite channels relative spectral response. The MOBY project has included only data that is good or questionable. These MOBY gold files are specific to the depth pairs used to make the measurement (Lw1(1m), Lw2(1m) and Lw7(5m).

Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) Filtered Spectral Radiance Files

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains the Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) filtered spectral radiance files. These are TXT ASCII files. The dataset contains hyper spectral Lw, Lwn, and Es data and modeled Kl Lw and Lwn data. If there is a special Lw product, due to some issue with the specific deployment, then there is an additional file for that day with the Lw and Es for that product.

Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) Raw Filtered Spectral Radiance Files

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains the Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) raw filtered spectral radiance files. This dataset consists of files which have the hyperspectral Es, Lu, KL, Lw, Lwn and Rsr for each data set. These raw filtered spectral radiance files are in a binary format. For further information on how to read the files, please check the documentation files in the spectral data directories.

Regional Hydrodynamic Model Outputs of the NOAA Operational Forecast System (OFS)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset comprises output fields from NOAA Operational Forecast System (OFS) coastal ocean models. The National Ocean Service (NOS) maintains a suite of operational high-resolution hydrodynamic nowcast/forecast systems known as Operational Forecast Systems (OFS). The OFS are implemented in critical ports, harbors, estuaries, the Great Lakes and coastal waters of the United States and provide nowcast and near-term forecast guidance (generally 48 hours) of total water level (without waves), currents, salinity, and water temperature.

Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) Simulated High-resolution Infrared Radiation Sounder (HIRS) Radiances, Version 2b

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The dataset includes radiances for HIRS channels 1-12 that are simulated from IASI swath measurements on Metop-A, B, and C, at the spatial resolution of the original IASI pixel resolution. It is an intermediate product of the NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of IR Sounder Upper Tropospheric Humidity BT, Version 4.0. The dataset has a global coverage.

Deepwater Horizon (DWH) MC252 Auxiliary Data off Hard Drive Collections from the NOAA Office of Response and Restoration (OR&R)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

These Deepwater Horizon (DWH) MC252 data collections are comprised of the auxiliary data associated with the studies stored on external hard drives. These data were used as part of the Programmatic Damage Assessment and Restoration Plan (PDARP) developed through the Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) conducted as a result of the April 20, 2010 explosion and subsequent sinking of the DWH drilling platform in the Gulf of Mexico about 40 miles (60 km) southeast off the Louisiana coast.
