Physical, meteorological, and biological data collected from Saildrone 1067 deployments as part of the TPOS 2019 Mission field study in the the Equatorial Pacific Ocean from 2019-06-08 to 2020-01-03 (NCEI Accession 0302397)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This file contains near-real time data from the Saildrone core MetOcean sensors for the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) TPOS 2019 Mission ('Mission 3') to the central equatorial Pacific (0, 140W) for Saildrone 1067. These data have not been Quality Control (QC)'d. This was the third of three missions funded by NOAA/Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) and NOAA/Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) as a pilot study for the Tropical Pacific Observing System (TPOS)-2020 project.

NCCOS Assessment: Digitized histological slides for stony coral tissue loss disease (SCTLD) development in Colpophyllia natans colonies located in the Dry Tortugas, 2021-09-01 to 2022-08-01 (NCEI Accession 0302466)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This digitized histological slide collection includes tissue biopsies from wild colonies of Colpophyllia natans (CNAT) located at three sites throughout the Dry Tortugas and collected at four time points to capture pre-disease and endemic disease states (September 2021, February 2022, June 2022, and August 2022). Slides were stained with either hematoxylin and eosin stains to highlight tissue morphology or Movat’s pentachrome stain to differentiate connective tissues (mucin, collagen, elastin, myosin). All slides were scanned on a digital slide scanner to a maximum magnification of 40x.

CTD casts (temperature, salinity, oxygen, fluorescence, turbidity, SUNA Nitrate), and nutrient bottle samples collected from Norseman II in Bering Strait, Southern Chukchi Sea, and Northern Bering Sea from 2024-09-09 to 2024-09-17 (NCEI Accession 0302480)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This is an archive of CTD data from the 2024 Bering Strait mooring cruise. The cruise was funded by the NSF-Arctic Observing Network grants: - PLR-2153942 (PIs: Woodgate and Peralta-Ferriz).

The data are from a ~ 11 day cruise
- on the US vessel Norseman II
- from 8th-18th July 2024
- sailing from and to Nome, Alaska, USA
- to the Bering Strait and southern Chukchi Sea.
The cruise was also to service oceanographic moorings in the strait and those data are archived separately.

Discrete profile measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TA), salinity, nutrients, oxygen and pH during the CCGS John P. Tully Line P cruise off the west coast of Vancouver Island from 2008-06-01 to 2008-06-11 (NCEI Accession 0302482)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

These data were collected from the west coast of Vancouver Island, between from 2008-06-01 to 2008-06-11, as part of the Line P Water Properties Survey led by Marie Robert. This cruise also contributes to the complete time series under NCEI #0110260. Discrete dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TA), salinity and nutrient samples were taken from rosette casts with 10L Niskin bottles and analyzed at the Institute of Ocean Sciences.

SPLASH Field Study; NOAA GML Surface Radiation Budget and Near-Surface Meteorology Data at Kettle Ponds and Brush Creek, Colorado (NCEI Accession 0302673)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

From fall 2021 through summer 2023, NOAA and research partners conducted a field study (SPLASH - the Study of Precipitation, the Lower Atmosphere and Surface for Hydrometeorology). This field study established a state-of-the-art observing network in the East River watershed of the Colorado mountains with a goal of advancing weather and water prediction capabilities in areas with complex terrain. The ultimate goal of this project is improved prediction of weather and water in the Colorado mountains and beyond to inform societal preparedness and response.
