Precipitation Reconstruction (PREC)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The PREC data set is an analysis of monthly precipitation constructed on a 2.5° lat/lon grid over the global for the period from 1948 to the
present. The land portion of this global analysis is defined by optimum interpolation of gauge observations at over 17,000 stations collected in the
NOAA/NCDC GHCN Version 2 and the NOAA/CPC CAMS data sets. The oceanic precipitation analysis (PREC/O), meanwhile, is produced by EOF reconstruction

Precipitation Reconstruction over Land (PREC/L)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The monthly data set consists files of 3 resolutions of monthly averaged precipitation totals. The global analyses are defined by interpolation of gauge observations over land (PREC-L) and by EOF recon- struction of historical observations over ocean (PREC-O). Gauge observations are from over 17 000 stations collected in the Global Historical Climatology Network (GHCN), version 2, and the Climate Anomaly Monitoring System (CAMS) datasets. An OI technique of Gandin was used to assimilate the observations.

Terrestrial Air Temperature and Precipitation: 1900-2014 Gridded Monthly Time Series
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Monthly mean gridded land temperature and total precipitation on a 1/2 degree grid from 1900 to 2014 (V4). Sources are from the GHCN2 (Global Historical Climate Network) and, more extensively, from the archive of Legates & Willmott.

HEN04-1 from Gulfport, MS to Norfolk, VA on the USNS Henson along the Northeast US Atlantic continental margin from 2004-08-23 to 2004-09-18
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
HEN04-1 was one of a series of cruises aimed at collecting high-resolution seafloor mapping data in areas along the US Atlantic continental margin that may potentially qualify for an extended continental shelf under Article 76 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
