Temperature profile data from the Indian Ocean from 1906-01-01 to 1989-12-31 (NCEI Accession 9100054)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Temperature profile data in the Indian Ocean from ORSTOM (France); 26,000 profiles from years 1906 thru 1989. Most appear to be derived from bathythermographs, although allowance is made for Nansen cast and CTD cast profiles. Data are to 500 m. These data are structured so as to be selected and plotted by the accompanying software. The data were received as a DOS backup on eleven 5.25" diskettes. These were restored to a PC hard disk and copied to archival storage media in 52 files.
