Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) Master Oceanographic Observation Data Set (MOODS) (NCEI Accession 9100206)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Master Oceanographic Observation Data Set (MOODS), maintained by the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, is the standard Navy database for oceanographic observations. Data contained in MOODS include observations of thermal and chemical properties of the water column from surface to bottom, the biota and currents in the water column, and the underlying sea floor as collected by oceanographic agencies worldwide. Mr. Mike Jugan submitted the data on November 14, 1991.

WATER TEMPERATURE and other data from USS BUNKER HILL from 1991-08-29 to 1991-08-30 (NCEI Accession 9100217)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data in this accession were collected using USS BUNKER HILL in October 1991. The real time data of water temperature at varying depth bathythermograph (XBT) was recorded in stripcharts by the US Navy. Six stripcharts and radio logs were submitted to NODC by Mr. Paul Stevens of Fleet Numerical Oceanography Center, Monterey CA. The XBT data from these stripcharts have been digitized and are present in the current NODC data storage system in C116 file format.
