Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

These data consists of taut moorings designed for long-duration measurement of temperature/pressure time series in the deep ocean. These data were collected in NW Atlantic (limit-40 W) during the FAME (Fine and Microscale Experiment) and IIWA (Intermediate Internal Wave Array) projects. The data were collected between April 29, 1975 and January 26, 1976 by MIT Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Cambridge, MA using WHOI buoys. The data was submitted by Carl Wunsch and John Dahlen, refer to publication Deep-Sea Research, 1974, vol 21.

Microbial Nitrogen Transformations in the Oxygen Minimum Zone off Peru, 1985-02-01 to 1985-03-05 (NCEI Accession 9200026)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

NITROP - 85 was the major field of experiment of an N.S.F. funded program entitled "Microbial Nitrogen Transformations in the Oxygen Minimum Zone off Peru". This project focused on obtaining a better understanding of the microbially mediated changes in nitrogen pathways and the controls on these pathways in and at the boundaries of the oxygen deficient water masses (O2 HTML Markup Was Removed
