WAVE DIRECTION and Other Data from FIXED STATIONS From Coastal Waters of California from 1975-03-13 to 1975-05-25 (NCEI Accession 9400044)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The accession contains Wave Surface Data collected in Coastal Waters of California between March 13, 1975 and May 25, 1975. Water surface elevation data was collected during the "Sea Test Program of a Tension Leg Platform" conducted by Deep Oil Technology, Inc., on station at the seaward side of Santa Catalina Island offshore southern California. The data consists of 25 records of water surface elevations about an arbitrary baseline at six locations around the tension leg platform (TLP). Each record is approximately 40 minutes long, collected at 0.5 second recording intervals.

WATER TEMPERATURE and other data from ROYALTY I in the NE Pacific from 1994-03-16 to 1994-03-28 (NCEI Accession 9400050)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data in this accession were collected in NE Pacific (limit-180) from ship ROYALTY I between March 16, 1994 and March 28, 1994. The real time data of water temperature at varying depth bathythermograph (XBT) was recorded in stripcharts by the US Navy. Radio logs are forms that contain time, weather latitude/longitude, vessel id, ship id, etc. These are radioed every two hours to some military center. One line per strip chart. Some strip charts have time /date /ship id /latitude /longitude annotated on the strip chart. Five stripcharts and radio logs were submitted to NODC.
