Dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH on total scale, and other variables collected from discrete samples and profile observations during the R/V F. G. Walton Smith cruise WS22141 (EXPOCODE 33WA20220521) in the North Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico from 2022-05-21 to 2022-05-27 (NCEI Accession 0286286)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset includes the discrete profile measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH on total scale, ammonia, water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and nutrients during the R/V F. G. Walton Smith cruise WS22141 (EXPOCODE 33WA20220521) in the Southeast U.S. Shelf, Gulf of Mexico from 2022-05-21 to 2022-05-27. Near-shore estuarine and coastal regions are where most recreational fishing and tourism occur, yet they are vastly under-sampled. Their susceptibility to OA is not well understood due to their high biogeochemical variability.

Rates of vertical accretion of backbarrier marshes along the Georgia Bight as measured from sediment cores collected during December 2017 (NCEI Accession 0286629)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset includes measured sediment characteristics and vertical accretion rates of backbarrier marshes along the Georgia Bight. Data include bulk density (g/cm^3), water content (%), organic content (%), Pb-210 (Bq/kg), Cs-137 (Bq/kg), and calculated rates of vertical accretion (mm/yr) as measured from sediment cores collected during December 2017. Data are provided as CSV files.

National Coral Reef Monitoring Program: Orthorectified mosaic images of Cheeca Rocks reef in the Florida Keys collected on 2022-08-18 (NCEI Accession 0286804)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This data set contains landscape mosaic images, created as a product for the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program’s (CRCP) National Coral Reef Monitoring Program (NCRMP). Orthorectified mosaic images of six reef plots were captured of Cheeca Rocks reef in the Florida Keys. Each reef plot is made up of a 10m x 10m transect area (100 m2). Landscape mosaics are a composite of many underwater images stitched together. These mosaics have the clarity and pixel size of the individual pictures but collectively produce a “landscape view” of the coral reef community within each transect.
