Coral bleaching data from BleachWatch in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary from 2023-06-01 to 2023-11-02 (NCEI Accession 0289530)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
As the occurrence and severity of coral bleaching has increased in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS) since the 1980s, The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and other scientists have developed remote sensing products and a network of environmental monitoring stations in order to try to more accurately predict coral bleaching in the Florida Keys.

Seafloor topography, animals - individual, water temperature, and other underway data taken by CTD, echo sounder, and other instruments from the deep submersible research vehicle Shinkai6500 deployed from the research vessel Yokosuka in Marianas Trench Marine National Monument from 2023-07-25 to 2023-08-04 (NCEI Accession 0289670)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Based on the detail seafloor observation by human occupied vehicles (Shinkai6500), we observed the distribution of serpentinite-driven fluid flows and microbial and macrofaunal communities with the seafloor topography, obtained various types of rocks, sediments, deposits and waters, and animals. Most of the data and samples are still under investigation in onshore laboratories. These data are augmented by underway measurements taken by CTD installed on the Shinkai6500 and XBT profile data. This cruise is U.S.

Deep-sea coral and sponge distribution, abundance, and diversity models of the Aleutian Islands (NCEI Accession 0289893)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Coral and sponge presence, abundance (measured as catch per unit effort (CPUE)), and diversity (number of coral families) models were generated based off of data from bottom trawl surveys in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska from 1991-2011 using the generalized additive modeling method at a 100 x 100 m spatial resolution. Sponge models were left at the phylum level due to taxonomic uncertainty. Greater certainty in coral taxonomy allowed for modeling of individual Stylasteridae and Primnoidae coral families.

Predictive models of the abundance and distribution of deep-sea corals and sponges in the Gulf of Alaska (NCEI Accession 0289894)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Deep-sea coral and sponge presence and abundance (measured as catch per unit effort (CPUE) were generated based off data from bottom trawl surveys between 1993 to 2013. Sponge models were left at the class level due to taxonomic uncertainty. Models of coral were the combination of seven families (Acanthogorgidae, Paragorgidae, Isididae, Plexauridae, Primnoidae and Stylasteridae). One coral family, due to its dominance in the region, was modeled on its own.

National Coral Reef Monitoring Program: Dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH and other variables collected from surface discrete measurements using Coulometer, alkalinity titrator and other instruments from Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, from 2022-04-12 to 2022-08-10 (NCEI Accession 0289902)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains the National Coral Reef Monitoring Program carbonate chemistry data from Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands from 2022-04-12 to 2022-08-10. The project monitors changes to coral reef carbonate chemistry over time, at U.S.-affiliated Pacific coral reef sites, through quantifying key chemical parameters that are expected to change with ocean acidification.
