Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This is the Mid-Atlantic regional component of NOAA’s Estuarine Living Marine Resources (ELMR) Project, a national database of ecologically and economically important fishes and invertebrates in the Nation's estuaries. The distribution and relative abundance are depicted in a consistent format for 61 species of fishes and invertebrates, in 22 estuaries in coastal Massachusetts (south of Cape Cod), Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.

Water temperature data collected from water temperature logger at 5 locations in Narragansett Bay by Roger Williams University in support of the grant entitled "Could Diseases of Blue Mussels affect commercial culture in the Northeast?" from 2015-05-21 to 2015-12-09 (NCEI Accession 0162404)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains water temperature measurements. Data were collected at 5 Narragansett Bay locations: Arnold Point, Roger Williams University Dock, Dyer Island, East Passage and West Passage. Data were collected using Onset Tidbit water temperature loggers and are in degrees Celsius. Data were collected by Roger Williams University in support of the grant entitled "Could Diseases of Blue Mussels affect commercial culture in the Northeast?" from 2015-05-21 to 2015-12-09.

Gentoo penguin foraging in Antarctic, Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South), and South Shetland Islands, Antarctic from 2005-04-03 to 2008-09-30 (NCEI Accession 0162405)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This data set contains water and air temperature data in addition to duration of time spent at temperature to provide estimates of daily activity and consequent demand for food during winter for gentoo penguins. These estimates are scarce for many polar seabirds, yet they are essential for assessing constraints on foraging effort, demand for food, and potential competition with local fisheries.

Water Temperature collected from Commercial Lobster Traps in Gulf of Maine and Southern New England Shelf from 1880-01-16 to 2017-05-16 (NCEI Accession 0162412)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains bottom temperature data from lobster traps sites the the Gulf of Maine and the South New England Bight. While some historical data is available from the Woods Hole dock back to the 1880's and for from the Boothbay Harbor dock back to 1920's, most of the hourly time series begins in 2001 at over 100 fixed locations where commercial lobstermen have placed their traps. The water depths range from 1- 405 meters.

Temperature, salinity and other parameters from CTDs from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown during the 2016 El Niño Rapid Response (ENRR) campaign (NCEI Accession 0162434)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

During the NOAA El Niño Rapid Response (ENRR) field campaign, 33 CTD's were released from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown ship over the period Feb 22-Mar 11 2016. The ship was in the eastern tropical Pacific ocean and stayed near the equator. Measurements included temperature, depth, pressure, salinity, conductivity, and sound velocity. Maximum depth was approximately 3000m for some sondes. Data are in .cnv files.

Telemetry data and movement patterns for sea turtles tagged near Cape Lookout, North Carolina from 2007-05-11 to 2015-05-15 (NCEI Accession 0162439)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This data contains patterns of catch rates, species and size composition. Acoustic and satellite telemetry were used to evaluate residency, movements, and dive behavior. AUV-borne sidescan sonar surveys were conducted at the peak of sea turtle abundance in the spring.

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset includes partial pressure of CO2 (pCO2), temperature, salinity and atmospheric pressure from R/V Thetys-2 CARBORHONE 3 and 4 cruises (EXPOCODEs: 35TT20120222, 35TT20120720) in the Mediterranean Sea from 2012-02-22 to 2012-07-27. The R/V Thetys-2 CARBORHONE 3 and 4 cruises were part of the framework of the MERMEX-CARBORHONE project, the processes controlling the air-sea CO2 fluxes from the inner estuary to the estuaries plume located within the 1500 m isobath of the Gulf of Lions were investigated.

Pacific Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program: Rapid Ecological Assessments of Fish Belt Transect Surveys (BLT) in the Pacific Ocean from 2000-09-09 to 2009-05-05 (NCEI Accession 0162462)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Belt transects (BLT) are a non-invasive underwater-survey method that enumerates the diverse components of diurnally active shallow-water reef fish assemblages. At each Rapid Ecological Assessment survey site, BLT fish surveys are conducted along 3 consecutively-placed, 25m transect lines to quantify relatively small-bodied and abundant fishes.

Coral reef monitoring data from sites across Micronesia from 2009-09-29 to 2019-08-20 (NCEI Accession 0162463)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Benthic, fish, and macroinvertebrate census data are collected from sites around Micronesia as part of the ongoing Micronesia Challenge. Information on the program can be found at (www.micronesiareefmonitoring.com). Survey sites are selected around each island to be representative of natural environmental gradients, management, and major reef types. Thus, full site designs can be used to evaluate both island trends and site-specific trends.
