A Comparison of the foraging ecology and bioenergetics of the early life-stages of two sympatric hammerhead sharks from 1998-07-12 to 2005-07-27 (NCEI Accession 0163192)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This Archival Information Package (AIP) contains basic biological information on bonnethead and scalloped hammerhead sharks with specific (by stomach and prey item) diet information for these two species. Data were collected by the NMFS Southeast Fisheries Science Center; Panama City, FL Laboratory in the Northeast Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida from 1998 to 2005. Data are in comma separated value (CSV) format and include length, sex, and number of prey items.

Seawater temperature and salinity observed from the CORC3 and CORC4 moorings in the southern California Current (NE Pacific) from 2012-08-31 to 2020-09-15 (NCEI Accession 0163206)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains temperature and salinity observations from instruments on the CORC3 and CORC4 moorings in the southern California Current (2012 to 2020), part of the CORC project (Consortium on the Ocean's Role in Climate) at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, under a grant from NOAA. The instruments were clamped along the mooring wire and carried sensors for conductivity, temperature, and some also pressure (CTD). These data are included in this archive package, along with interpolated pressures for instruments without such sensors and derived salinity.

Acoustic Travel Time and Hydrostatic Pressure in Sermilik Fjord in Southeastern Greenland from 2011-08-23 to 2016-08-11 (NCEI Accession 0163212)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
These data records are time series of (1) round trip surface to bottom acoustic travel time, (2) bottom pressure and (3) bottom temperature (with the latter internal to the instrument). The first goal in collecting these data was to develop and test non-traditional methods to measure the time-varying heat content and vertical temperature profiles in high-latitude seas, shelves, and fjords using pressure-sensor-equipped inverted echo sounders (PIESs). The second goal was to use PIESs to measure icebergs and sea ice.

Hydrostatic pressure collected from Moorings in Elson Lagoon near Barrow, Alaska from 2014-08-20 to 2015-09-22 (NCEI Accession 0163224)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Year long records of hydrostatic pressure recorded at Sites 1, 2, and 3 in Elson Lagoon near Barrow, Alaska 2014-08-20 to 2015-09-22 were acquired to better understand relationships among sea level, circulation, and ice movement in coastal areas. The sensors were 8 inches above the lagoon bottom. Water temperature was also recorded. There is an ASCII text data file for each site. A separate data file defines the site coordinates and the specific times the instruments were at the lagoon bottom. Note the data include time pre- and post-deployment while out of the water.
