Laboratory experimental growth and development responses of larval walleye pollock (Gadus chalcogrammus) experiencing ocean acidification conditions from 2018-04-04 to 2018-05-17 (NCEI Accession 0258039)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains data from manipulated experimental seawater chemistry conditions and walleye pollock (Gadus chalcogrammus) larval development, swimming behavior, and lipid composition responses. The experiment took place from April 4-May 17, 2018 in the Alaska Fisheries Science Center laboratory research facilities at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Oregon. Larvae were obtained from natural spawning of laboratory-acclimated broodstock adults. Experiments occurred from fertilization to 4 weeks post-hatch at ambient (~ 425 µatm) and elevated (~ 1230 µatm) CO2 levels.

This dataset contains the discrete bottle (CTD profile) data of the only cruise that took place in the US Arctic during the 2020 COVID-19 related field work shutdown. The cruise took place from October 15, 2020 to November 19, 2020 aboard the R/V Sikuliaq, departing from and returning to Seward, AK. 148 casts were occupied in the Bering and Chukchi Seas around Alaska. At all stations, CTD casts were conducted, and discrete water samples were collected in Niskin bottles.

NOAA Air Resources Laboratory Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division’s Measurements of Temperature, Humidity and Wind using Small Uncrewed Aircraft Systems to Support Short-Term Weather Forecasting Needs over Complex Terrain (NCEI Accession 0252668)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUxS) are now being routinely used not only for sampling atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) processes and land-atmosphere interactions but also have significant potential to improve weather forecasting at National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs). In the present study, we used observations obtained from a Meteomatics Meteodrone SSE sUxS flown on 31 days between 20 August and 10 December 2020 near Oliver Springs, Tennessee, located 35 km northwest of Knoxville, Tennessee.
