This dataset contains characterizations of seagrass and other habitat types within the Tampa Bay area in 1988. These data were converted to GIS format from GEONEX 1:24000 paper datasource. The data were submitted by Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Florida Marine Research Institute (FMRI), Coastal and Marine Resource Assessment (CAMRA).

Current, meteorological, and other data were collected from TAO Arrays EM4,EM5,CM4,CM5,WM4,WM5 in the equatorial Pacific Ocean from 23 February 1997 to 10 July 1998. Current data contain 5 pairs of zonal and meridional current values from 10m, 25m, 45m, 80m, and 120m. Temperature data include values from 13 depths. Meteorological data include, wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, and relative humidity.

CTD and other data were collected from R/V LITTLE DIPPER in the Gulf of Alaska from 25 January 2001 to 23 February 2001. Data were collected by the University of Alaska - Fairbanks; Institute of Marine Science (UAK/IMS) in support of the Long-Term Oceanographic Monitoring of the Gulf of Alaska Ecosystem Project and include profiles of temperature, salinity, delta-theta, and sigma-t.

Six permanent transects in Fagatele Bay National Marine Sanctuary, American Samoa, and 11 other sites around Tutuila Island were established in 1985. This dataset contains coral reef surveys taken in 1995 and 1998 along these established transect lines. Data were taken on 30-m transects along isobaths on the reef platform and at depths of 3, 5, 9, and 12 m. Data on algae, fish, and macroinvertebrates were also collected by other investigators, but are not included with this data set.

A moored thermistor chain was deployed about a mile south of Honolulu Harbor in waters of about 260 feet depth. The instrument was in operation from August 1997 - November 1997 and May 1998 - July 1998. The data are one-minute samples taken from 18 to 60 m at 3 m depth intervals from 14 thermistors. The purpose of the study was to examine the thermal field in the region south of the Honolulu reef runway near the Sand Island sewage outfall.

Physical data were collected from XBT casts from the Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South). Data were collected from 01 March 1998 to 30 December 2000. Data were submitted by the Alfred-Wegener Institute in support of the Gulf of Mexico NOAA/NMFS Ship of Opportunity (SOOP), the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE), and the Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP). Physical parameters include temperature profiles.

Roi-Namur is located at the northernmost tip of Kwajalein Atoll, approximately 64 kilometers north of the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA) central command post on Kwajalein Islet. Roi-Namur has a single sewage outfall, which is located at the northwestern corner of the islet. Originally, the outfall extended from shore to a point about halfway across the reef flat where the pipe ended abruptly as an upturned, uncapped elbow. Raw sewage was pumped through the pipe in pulses approximately every 15-20 minutes.
