Short Mission Summaries of the Islands in the Stream 2002 Expedition (NCEI Accession 0001612)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Islands in the Stream 2002 expedition was designed to explore and investigate deep-water reefs, rocky outcrops, and hard-bottom areas at the edge of the continental shelf, as well as on the continental slope, off the southeast coast of the US. As with Islands in the Stream 2001, the overarching theme of the expedition was to conduct geological, biological, and ecological observations of these habitats, and to collect samples for further analysis as a means to better characterize these little known and poorly understood areas.

Temperature, salinity, and water chemistry data from the Comprehensive Environmental Monitoring Program of the Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion plant at Keahole, Island of Hawaii, from shallow and deep intake pipes during 1982-2017 (NCEI Accession 0001623)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority (NELHA) is a state agency that operates a unique and innovative ocean science and technology park in Kailua-Kona on the island of Hawaii. It supports an Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) facility at Keahole Point on the west coast of the Island of Hawaii. Intake pipes at shallow (21 m) and deep (674 m) are utilized to record water characteristics. This data set includes roughly bi-weekly or monthly samples of temperature, salinity, and water chemistry, a total 16 parameters.

Physical, biological, and meteorological data collected on the Seward Johnson in coastal waters of the southeastern US during the Life on the Edge II cruise, 2004-06-08 to 2004-06-22 (NCEI Accession 0001633)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains data collected during the Life on the Edge II (SJ0403) cruise, June 8-22, 2004, aboard the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution's research vessel Seward Johnson. The cruise was coordinated by the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration. The science team studied both the outer-shelf hard grounds, found in relatively shallow water (80 to 200 m), and the middle-slope coral banks, found in deeper water (350 to 800 m).

GLobal Ocean Data Analysis Project (GLODAP) version 1.1 (NCEI Accession 0001644)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The GLobal Ocean Data Analysis Project (GLODAP) is a cooperative effort to coordinate global synthesis projects funded through NOAA/DOE and NSF as part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study - Synthesis and Modeling Project (JGOFS-SMP). Cruises conducted as part of the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE), Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) and NOAA Ocean-Atmosphere Exchange Study (OACES) over the decade of the 1990s have created an oceanographic database of unparalleled quality and quantity.
