Digital collection of aerial photographs from the Common Murre Restoration Project, 1996 (NCEI Accession 0015544)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The Common Murre Restoration Project is a comprehensive seabird restoration effort aimed at enhancing depleted seabird populations in central California, specifically those of the common murre (Uria aalge). The main focus of the project is to reestablish a colony of murres on a small seastack called Devil's Slide Rock, located along the San Mateo coast near Pacifica. This breeding colony held close to 3,000 murres as recently as the early 1980s, but was wiped out as a result of human-caused mortality.

Harmful algal bloom historical database from Coastal waters of Florida from 01 November 1995 to 09 September 1996 (NCEI Accession 0019216)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

In the later part of 1999, a relational Microsoft Access database was created to accommodate a wide range of data on the phytoplankton Karenia brevis. This database, termed HAB Historical Database (HHD), was designed to efficiently capture core information, yet have the capacity to expand and capture related sampling information if it is available. It performs this task through a series of connected data tables and related forms. The minimum parameters required in order for a sample record to be entered into the database are a K.
