This data set contains the 1996-2001 era or land cover change classifications of the SE Atlantic, zone 55 and zone 58. This imagery was collected as part of the Multi-Resolution Land Characteristics program in a multi-agency effort to provide baseline multi-scale environmental characteristics and to monitor environmental change. This data set utilized full or partial Landsat 5 and 7 Thematic Mapper and Enhanced Thematic Mapper scenes which were analyzed according to the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) protocol to determine land cover.

This data is the 2001 era or late-date classification of the Great Lakes. This data set consists of about 74 partial Landsat 7 Thematic Mapper scenes which were analyzed according to the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) protocol to determine land cover. The data were field validated and subsequently mosaicked to produce a land cover inventory for a portion of the US Great Lakes Coastal Zone.

Physical oceanographic data were collected from NOAA Ship RUDE in the NW Atlantic during the 2007 survey season from 16 March 2007 to 15 November 2007. Data were collected from CTD casts and parameters include temperature and salinity profiles. Data are self documenting and are in plain ASCII text.

Basic hydrographic data was collected in the Ilulissat Ice Fjord and adjacent Disko Bay during the summer of 2007. In Disko Bay, data was collected using a CTD lowered over the side of a boat (the Clane). The casts reached depths of about 300 m. very close to the bottom of the bay. In the Ice Fjord, casts were taken from a CTD lowered from a helicopter, and reached down to a depth of about 50 m. Additionally, airborne expendable CTD were taken from a helicopter over the ice fjord.

Physical oceanographic data were collected from Navigation Response Team-2 in the NW Atlantic from 08 November 2006 to 11 December 2007. Data were collected from CTD and sound velocimeter casts. Temperature and salinity profiles were collected from the CTD casts. Sound velocity profiles were collected from the sound velocimeter casts. Data are self documenting and are in plain ASCII text.

This dataset includes oceanographic profile temperature and salinity measurements collected using CTD and XBT on R/V Yellowfin XBT Intercomparison Cruise on 21 June 2005, with representatives from AOML, Scripps, and CSIRO participating in a one-day instrument intercomparison test in the Pacific Ocean near the Port of Los Angeles, CA.

Palmer Long Term Ecological Research (PAL-LTER) Temperature and Salinity profile data collected west of the Antarctic Peninsula. These data from January/February 2006 are part of the ongoing collection of ecological data generally on an equal area grain 400 km long (roughly parallel to the coast) and extending offshore about 200 km to include the continental slope.
