Temperature, salinity, photosynthetically active radiation and weather parameters at SEAKEYS stations in the Florida Keys, 2004 (NCEI Accession 0058098)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains data collected at several Coastal-Marine Automated Network (C-MAN) stations in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Florida Bay. These C-MAN stations have been outfitted with additional sensors to collect temperature, salinity and PAR data in addition to the standard sensors for weather related observations. The basic National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) C-MAN instrument package generally monitors meteorological data, such as wind speed and direction, air temperature and barometric pressure, but sea temperature is also measured when possible, at 1 meter deep.

Meteorological data for Tomasini Point and Dillon Beach, California as part of the Land Margin Ecosystems Research (LMER), Biogeochemical Reactions in Estuaries (BRIE) from 14 May 1987 to 31 December 1993 (NCEI Accession 0058117)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Meteorologic data were collected more or less continuously (excepting sensor failures) between 1987 and 1993 using two remotely operated Sierra Misco Alert weather stations. One weather station was located at Dillon Beach towards the northern end of Tomales Bay, while the other station was placed on Tomasini Point near the southern end of the bay. Data were collected every fifteen minutes for WIND SPEED AND DIRECTION (m/s), RELATIVE HUMIDITY (%), AIR TEMPERATURE (degrees C), and SOLAR RADIATION (Watts / m2). The raw data were then averaged over each day.

Beaufort Gyre hydrographic data: Temperature, salinity and transmissivity data from the Louis S St. Laurent in the Arctic Ocean, 2003 - 2008 (NCEI Accession 0058268)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The major goal of the observational program is to determine the variability of different components of the Beaufort Gyre fresh water (ocean and sea ice) system and to assess the partial concentrations of fresh water of different origin (rivers, Pacific Ocean, precipitation, ice/snow melt, etc).
