White Light Photosphere Observed from ISOON

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The Air Force Research Laboratory's Space Hazards Branch, in partnership with the National Solar Observatory at Sacramento Peak, developed a prototype instrumentation and software for the Improved Solar Observing Optical Network (ISOON). ISOON was to have replaced the existing SOON system which was originally designed and deployed in the 1970's for space weather specifications and forcasting.

White Light Photosphere Observed from Space Weather Precidction Center (SWPC)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

When this data was collected, SWPC was named the Space Environment Lab (SEL) and there was a telescope known as the Boulder Solar Observatory on the roof the building. These images of white light are from that observatory.

Archive of NOAA Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) Network (NCN)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The National Geodetic Survey's (NGS) NOAA Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) Network (NCN) provides Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data consisting of carrier phase and code range measurements in support of three dimensional positioning, meteorology, space weather, and geophysical applications throughout the United States, its territories, and a few foreign countries. Surveyors, GIS users, engineers, scientists, and the public at large that collect GPS data can use CORS data to improve the precision of their positions.

Worldwide Echo-Sounding Correction Tables to Convert to Standard Velocity Depths

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Echo-sounding tables (3rd Edition) were prepared by D.J.T. Carter of the Marine Information and Advisory Service (United Kingdom) for the conversion of raw echo-sounding measurements of ocean depths to values compensated for variations of sound speed with regional density profiles. The tables were computerized by Carter and offer standard velocity-depth corrections for 85 different regions covering the globe. The database consists of algorithms for determining correction zones by latitude-longitude, and interpolation tables for each zone.

Pressure, temperature, and salinity collected by CTDs from ships in the North Pacific and South Pacific Oceans from 6/30/1999 to 12/14/1999 (NCEI Accession 0000003)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Temperature profile and pressure data were collected using CTD casts in the North/South Pacific Ocean from NOAA Ship RONALD H. BROWN AND NOAA Ship KA'IMIMOANA from 01 June 1999 to 01 December 1999. Data were submitted by Kristene McTaggart of the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory with support from the Global Ocean Atmosphere Land System (GOALS) and Pan American Climate Studies (PACS) project.

CRETM/LMER geochemical and environmental datasets from the Columbia River estuary for the Columbia river LMER project from 1995-05-01 to 1998-02-01 (NCEI Accession 0000004)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset includes geochemical and associated physical data (depth, water temperature, salinity, density) collected using pump casts at fixed locations in the Lower Columbia River estuary from May 5, 1995 to March 6, 1998 (not inclusive) as part of the Columbia River Turbidity Maximum/Land Margin Ecosystem Research (CRETM/LMER) project. Data were submitted by Dr. Frederick Prahl, Oregon State Univ., College of Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, Corvallis, OR.

Pressure, temperature, and salinity data collected by CTDs from NOAA Ship Rainier in the Gulf of Alaska from 1999-08-12 to 1999-10-28 (NCEI Accession 0000009)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains pressure, temperature, and salinity values collected from 188 CTD casts between the periods of May 27, 1999 to December 15, 1999. NOAA Ship Rainier collected 185 of the CTD casts in the Gulf of Alaska. The Navigation Response Team 1 collected 3 CTD casts in central Florida lakes. The data were collected using a Sea-Bird SBE 19 SEACAT profiler, and submitted to NODC in the WHOI CTD Exchange Format. Ruby Becker of NOAA's National Ocean Service submitted the data.
