Ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, silicate, and urea data were collected from R/V ALPHA HELIX from July 13, 1985 to October 14, 1985. Data were collected using bottle casts in the Bering Sea and Northeast Pacific Ocean.

Chlorophyll data were collected from the ROGER REVELLE from January 1, 1998 to January 25, 1998. Data were submitted by Oregon State University as part of the US JGOFS Antarctic Environments Southern Ocean Process Study. These data were recorded after collecting surface seawater intake in the Southern Oceans.

Sound velocity and temperature data were collected from the O'BANNON from May 23, 2000 to August 28, 2000. Data were submitted by the US Navy SHIPS of OPPORTUNITY using XBT and XSV casts in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean.

This NODC CD-ROM product (NODC-121) contains the time and space distribution of 74,256 ocean stations (temperature, salinity, and oxygen) occupied in the Barents Sea from 1898 to 1993. These data are recorded on CD-ROM in a format designed for use in electronic spreadsheets and/or databases. Monthly maps defining the station distribution over the Barents Sea are given for every year. Monthly mean fields of temperature and salinity distribution for the depths 0, 30, 50, 100, and 200 m, with a grid distance of 10'x30' are plotted using objective analysis techniques.

Temperature profile data were collected from the ACONA from September 13, 1973 to June 10, 1974. Data were submitted by the University of Alaska- Fairbanks; Institute of Marine Science and California Dept of Fish and Game. Data were collected using CTD casts in the Gulf of Alaska.

Despite the potential importance of Honolulu Harbor or other commercial harbors on Oahu as potential gateways for nonindigenous marine species to enter the Hawaiian marine ecosystem, no studies have previously been conducted of introduced species in Hawaiian commercial harbors, and little information is available for the composition of the marine communities for these harbors. Therefore, we conducted surveys in Honolulu Harbor and Keehi Lagoon in 1997, and in Kewalo Basin, the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor and the Barbers Point Deep Draft Harbor in 1998.

The marine and estuarine invertebrate and fish communities in Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii were surveyed between January and October, 1996. Samples were taken and observations were made at fifteen stations throughout the harbor, in a variety of environments ranging from near oceanic conditions at the harbor entrance channel to areas receiving land runoff with high sediment loads and turbidity.
