CTD and other data were collected from the Bering Sea from the ALPHA HELIX from 15 September 1985 to 22 September 1985. Data were collected by the University of Alaska - Fairbanks / Institute of Marine Science (UAK/IMS) as part of the Inner Shelf Transport and Recycling (ISHTAR) project. Data include temperature and salinity profiles.

CTD, MBT, bottle, and other data were collected from the HATSUTAKA MARU and other platforms from the Sea of Japan, NW Pacific (limit-180), and other seas from 10 April 1919 to 28 December 1993. Data include temperature and salinity profiles. Data also include concentration profiles of oxygen, heavy metals, PCB's, chlorophyll, and phaeophytin.

Chemical, phytoplankton, and other data were collected from the Columbia River estuary from 16 June 1999 to 29 June 1999. Data were collected from R/V Robert Gordon Sproul, R/V Clifford Barnes, and fixed platforms as part of the Land-Margin Ecosystem Research (LMER) and the Columbia River Estuarine Turbidity Maximum Research Program (CRETMRP). Data were collected by pump casts and include water depths, temperatures, salinities, percent transmissivities, beam attenuations, and rates of primary production per hour.

Nutrients and temperature profile data were collected using bottle casts in the South Atlantic Ocean from R/V KNORR. Data were collected from 13 November 1983 to 10 December 1983 by Lamont-Doherty Earth Observation with support from the Agulhas Retroflection Cruise.

Chlorophyll data were collected from a sewage outfall site in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, from 1982 to 2001. The purpose of the project was to study the responses of the ecosystem to the sewage diversion from the inner bay to an offshore, deep water location and to continue monitoring the location to denote changes associated with natural environmental and anthropogenic forcing on the primary productivity. Data were submitted by the University of Hawaii at Manoa and funding was provided by the Environmental Protective Agency (EPA).

CTD, bottle, and other data were collected from the CHARLES DARWIN and other vessels in the Atlantic Ocean from 10 April 1969 to 17 August 1995. CTD data include temperature and salinity profiles. Bottle data include profiles of percent oxygen saturation, sigma-t, computed potential attenuance, and chlorophyll concentration. Data were submitted by the British Oceanographic Data Center (BODC).

This project assesses the physiological status of selected macroalgae in Hawaii under various nutrient regimes, with the purpose of determining a suitable physiological test that can, with reasonable accuracy, define nutrient concentrations in the adjacent water column. The project is designed to test the utility of pulse amplitude modulated (PAM) fluorescence as a means of assessing physiological status. PAM fluorescence provides an estimate of photosynthetic efficiency and can be measured underwater in the field.

This dataset includes chemical, physical and underway - surface data collected from NATHANIEL B. PALMER in the Arctic Ocean, Beaufort Sea, Bering Sea, Indian Ocean, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, North Pacific Ocean, South Atlantic Ocean, South Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea from 1994-11-04 to 2012-08-31 and retrieved during cruise R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer Lines. These data include Partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide, SALINITY and SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE.

Sampling for macroinfauna from swash zones of beaches along the SE Gulf of Mexico and SE coast of Florida was conducted from May 2010- July 2011. At each site, sampling was conducted using sediment cores (10cm diameter, 20cm deep) and all sampling was conducted within 2 hrs of low tide. Cores were collected within an approximately 100m linear distance parallel to the shoreline at each site. Some sites were intensively sampled across 3 subareas of the swash zone: high (near maximum wave run-up), mid, and low (near maximum wave back-wash) swash.
