These data are a collection of natural color (RGB) and color infrared (IR) ortho images from selected coastal bays of Texas. The actual project boundary located within this area is comprised of 6 areas along the coast of the state of Texas including Corpus Christi Bay (app. 356 square miles), Redfish Bay (app. 62 square miles), Aransas Bay (app. 285 square miles), Copano Bay (app. 158 square miles), Upper Laguna Madre (app. 313 square miles), and Baffin Bay (app. 232 square miles). A total of 762 orthos (381 natural color and 381 color infrared) were produced to cover this area.

This dataset contains oceanographic temperature profiles from XBTx from the KOELN EXPRESS and WALTHER HERWIG III in the North Atlantic Ocean and coastal North Atlantic for the SHIP-OF-OPPORTUNITY PROGRAMME (SOT SOOP). These data were downloaded from Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH) Germany with permission of Detlev Machoczek, BSH, and replace data from NCEI Accession 9700167.

This dataset contains ortho-rectified mosaic tiles, created as a product from the NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) initiative. The images were acquired with an Applanix Digital Sensor System (DSS). The ground sample distance (GSD) for each pixel is 0.35 m.

Data are in GeoTIFF format with associated browse graphics and metadata.

Orthophotography was flown in coastal regions of North Carolina and southeastern Virginia in an effort to establish long term mapping and monitoring of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) habitat in these areas. Orthophotos were tiled to the standard USGS DOQQ grid, with a small (app. 100 m) buffer produced with each tile to prevent gaps in coverage. Compliance with the accuracy standard was ensured by the collection of photo identifiable GPS ground control after the acquisition of aerial imagery.

The National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) created a CD-ROM containing over 1.3 million temperature-depth and salinity-depth profiles taken in the Pacific Ocean between 1900 and 1988. Designated as CD-ROM NODC-01, it was the first in a planned series of ocean data compact discs holding major portions of NODC's global data archive. CD-ROM NODC-01 was made available free to researchers who agreed to test it and provide an evaluation of the disc to the NODC. NODC-01 was subsequently replaced with later CD-ROM products holding additional observation data.

The Scribe Database Collection includes 14 databases containing data from the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) Oil Spill Event Response Phase. These databases are the work of federal agencies, state environmental management agencies and BP and its contractors. The types of information include locations, descriptions, and analysis of water, sediment, oil, tar, dispersant, air and other environmental samples.
