This dataset includes discrete profile data collected during the R/V Melville GEOSECS_LEG3 cruise (EXPOCODE 318M19771204) in the Mediterranean Sea from 1977-12-04 to 1977-12-09. These data include dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TALK), water temperature, salinity, nutrients (silicate, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate) and tritium. This cruise was part of the GEOSECS Indian Ocean Cruises archived in NCEI Accession 0163183.

This dataset includes marine biological occurrence data managed by the Ocean Biodiversity Information System USA (OBIS-USA). The data were observed between 1833 and 2025-01-23. These data were last updated by OBIS-USA on 2025-10-10 and were received by NCEI on 2025-10-16.

Common bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) photographic-identification surveys were conducted by the Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG) Marine Mammal Behavioral Ecology Group, on the Texas coast and included Galveston Bay, West Bay, Matagorda Bay, Corpus Christi Bay, the lower Laguna Madre, and adjacent coastal waters from 1990 to 2001. Photos were initially collected using 35mm film cameras and converted into slides or developed into print photographs and archived in physical storage.

This dataset contains water temperature profiles collected from XBTs aboard the Marine Columbia, MHI Cape Lookout Shoals, and Seabulk Pride in the Gulf of Alaska and North Pacific Ocean from 2004-01-14 to 2005-05-26. These data were collected by Scripps Institute of Oceanography (SIO), as part of the JCOMM Ship of Opportunity Programme and SIO High Resolution XBT/XCTD Network (line P38) and submitted by Lisa Lehmann of SIO as part of the Global Temperature and Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP).

This dataset includes biological data collected on the NOAA West Coast cruises in years 2011, 2013 and 2016. The data include pteropod (Limacina helicina) abundance data (in ind per m-3) or their presence (in year 2013). Pteropods were generally collected during nighttime sampling at 48 stations, using 333 μm mesh Bongo nets with 30- to 45-minute oblique tows from 100 m depth to the surface.

This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and other parameters collected by CTD from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown in the north Pacific Ocean off California. Cruise RB-21-02 in June 2021 had the objective to service moorings for the CCE (California Current Ecosystem) project, as well as the CORC (Consortium on the Ocean's Role in Climate) project. To calibrate and validate the mooring data, CTD casts with water samples were done. The CTD data are reported here. The CTD data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data.

This dataset includes visual observations of Limacina helicina presence or absence collected during biological tows along the Newport Hydrographic Line from station NH-25, located 25nm (44.652°N, 124.65°W) offshore the Oregon, USA coast from 2011-05-01 to 2016-06-30. Data are presence (1) absence (0) of the pteropod.

This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and others sea and atmospheric parameters taken by CTD and other instrumentation from the research vessel Mirai in the Chukchi Sea, Bering Sea, and North Pacific Ocean. This cruise aims to develop the dataset that could allow for a synoptic view of the totality of hydrographic and ecosystem changes taking place in the Arctic Ocean and facilitate advancing model development to predict the future state of the Arctic.
