Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset consists of measurements of dissolved organic matter (DOM) and other chemical and hydrographic parameters obtained during the global ocean observations from 1994-01-01 to 2021-05-29. Measurements of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in the open ocean have increased greatly since the late 1980's, spurred by the growth in scientific interest directed at the ocean carbon cycle.

Water temperature, salinity, currents, and others taken by CTD and ADCP from the research vessel Keifu Maru, cruise 21-02, in the North Pacific Ocean from 2021-02-22 to 2021-02-23 (NCEI Accession 0227853)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, currents, and other chemical and biological parameters taken by CTD and ADCP from the research vessel Keifu Maru (cruise KS21-02) in the North Pacific. The entire cruise was carried out during the period from February to March, 2021. Hydrographic observation was made using a Sea-Bird Electronics (SBE) 36 position carousel equipped with 10-liter Niskin water sample bottles, a CTD system (SBE911plus) equipped with JFE Advantech oxygen sensor (RINKO III) along longitude 165 degree East.

Ecosystem carbon exchange and nitrogen removal rates in two 33-year-old constructed salt marshes are similar to those in a nearby natural marsh 2018-11-30 to 2020-03-08 (NCEI Accession 0227949)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
We conducted a year-long study with the main objective of comparing seasonal plant productivity, ecosystem respiration (ER), denitrification, and dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium (DNRA) between two 33-year-old constructed marshes (CON-1, CON-2) and a nearby natural reference marsh (NAT). Marsh productivity was measured instantaneously as Net Ecosystem Exchange (NEE) using an acrylic chamber with an in-line carbon dioxide analyzer (LiCOR-820). Likewise, ER was measured in each marsh under dark conditions using the same chamber set-up.

Water temperature, salinity, and others collected taken by CTD from the seaglider SG660 in the Southern and South Indian Oceans from 2019-05-01 to 2019-07-25 (NCEI Accession 0228185)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and others taken by CTD from the seaglider SG660 in the Southern and South Indian Oceans. These data were collected during the Southern Ocean observations of the submesoscale (SOGOS) project in which two seagliders (SG659 and SG660) followed an argo-biogeochemical float (WMO 5906030) from the Southern Ocean carbon and climate observations and modeling (SOCCOM) program.

Specific gravity (density) measurements taken from the HMS Challenger and SMS Gazelle in the global ocean from 1873-02-15 to 1876-06-05 (NCEI Accession 0228229)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Data were digitized by W. John Gould and Stuart A. Cunningham from cruise reports. The 1870s specific gravity (SG) measurements were used to calculate equivalent salinities under the assumption that the SG measurements corresponded directly to density, using the reference value for water of 1.0 gram/cm3. The temperatures to which the 1870s data were standardized: 15.56°C for the Challenger data and 14°Réaumur (17.5°C) for Gazelle. Data are in the comma separated value (csv) files, one for each cruise.
