Water temperature, salinity, and oxygen data taken by CTD and water sampling from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown, cruise RB-20-07, in the Northwestern Tropical Atlantic from 2020-12-04 to 2020-12-10 (NCEI Accession 0228396)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and oxygen data taken by CTD and water sampling from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown in the North Atlantic Ocean. Cruise RB-20-07 in 2020 had the objective to service a number of moored platforms for the MOVE project (Meridional Overturning Variability Experiment). To calibrate and validate the mooring data, CTD casts with salinity and oxygen water samples were collected; these data are reported here. The CTD sensor data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. The raw CTD data are available as separate files.

Global Coral Bleaching Database (NCEI Accession 0228498)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Coral reefs are one of the most important ecosystems in the world, supporting hundreds of thousands of species and providing food, coastal protection, and income to hundreds of millions of people. However, coral reefs are experiencing more frequent and intense stress events leading to coral bleaching. The process of coral bleaching involves a breakdown of the symbiosis between the coral hosts and their endosymbiotic algae, which can lead to starvation and mortality.

Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset includes dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity and partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2), nutrients, dissolved oxygen, particulate organic carbon and nitrogen (POC and PON), pigment concentrations from discrete water samples and colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) from the profiling sensor. Data were collected during the Atlantic Zone Monitoring Program (AZMP).

Partial pressure of carbon dioxide, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from surface underway observations during NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown cruises in the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, North Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean in 2021 (NCEI Accession 0228760)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown in the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, North Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean from 2021-03-15 to 2021-12-19. These data include air-sea difference of partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2), barometric pressure, pCO2 in atmosphere, pCO2 in water, salinity and sea surface temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include CO2 gas analyzer and shower head chamber equilibrator for autonomous CO2 measurement.

Coral size and condition data collected by the Guam Long-term Coral Reef Monitoring Program from 2010-08-04 to 2019-09-06 (NCEI Accession 0228761)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data in this package include coral colony size and condition data collected as part of the Guam Long-term Coral Reef Monitoring Program (GLTMP). The monitoring team assesses all coral colonies found within quadrats placed every five meters along 25 m transects (although note that transects of different lengths have been used). Quadrat size is 0.25 sq m for most sites; a larger quadrat size (0.75 sq m) is used for the Western Shoals and Fouha Bay sites.

Macroinvertebrate belt transect survey data collected by the Guam Long-term Coral Reef Monitoring Program from 2010-08-06 to 2024-11-19 (NCEI Accession 0228762)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data in this package include macroinvertebrate belt transect survey data collected collected at High Priority Reef Areas (HPRAs) by the Guam Long-term Coral Reef Monitoring Program (GLTMP) between 2010 and 2024. GLTMP biologists counted the number of individuals of commercially and ecologically important macroinvertebrate species within a 4 m x 30 m belt transect (4 x 25 m prior to 2017) at all sampling stations within the HPRAs (except at the Western Shoals stations, where 4 m x 15 m belts were used).

Coral ecosystem connectivity from Pulley Ridge to the Florida Keys: light trap invertebrate zooplankton abundance data from 2012-08-10 to 2014-08-27 (NCEI Accession 0228806)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset comprises invertebrate zooplankton abundance data from light traps deployed in Pulley Ridge, Dry Tortugas, and the lower Florida Keys (American Shoal and Looe Key). Replicate light traps were deployed overnight from small boats in August of 2012, 2013, and 2014. Deployments were, ~5–6 m off the seafloor at all collection sites during the third quarter to new moon lunar periods. Simultaneous sampling across all sites was not possible. Larval fishes were removed from the samples and the remaining zooplankton were split using a Folsom Plankton Splitter or a box splitter.

Short-lived radioisotope, sediment core photographs, sediment texture and composition data collected aboard multiple R/V Weatherbird II cruises in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-08-11 to 2011-09-27 (NCEI Accession 0228866)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains short-lived radioisotope (SLRad), sediment core photographs, and sediment texture and composition data collected aboard multiple R/V Weatherbird II cruises in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-08-11 to 2011-09-27. Both SLRad data and sediment texture and composition data were generated for selected core sub-samples at 2mm sampling intervals for “surficial unit” and 5mm sampling resolution intervals to the base of cores. Sediment texture values were expressed as percent gravel, sand, silt, and clay. Percent of mud can be calculated by combining percent silt and clay.

Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset includes a variety of environmental variables from surface water of five wetland sites (three natural and two restored), and the effluent of three wastewater treatment plants. Potential denitrification rates were also measured in the surface sediments of the five wetlands from the Texas Coastal Bend. The data was collected over a course of 18 months from late 2018 to early 2020.
