Water temperature, salinity, delta carbon-13, oxygen, and others taken by CTD and water samples from the research vessel Thomas G. Thompson in the Indian Ocean and Southern Ocean from 2018-11-07 to 2018-12-12 (NCEI Accession 0219887)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains stable carbon isotope composition of DIC measured on seawater samples from the SE Indian/Southern Ocean as part of the CROCCA-2S cruise. Additional O2, temperature, salinity, conductivity, fluorescence, beam attenuation, and density variables are CTD probe data. The methods used for Nitrate and Phosphate analysis were standard colometric procedures performed at the Rutgers University Nutrient Analysis Laboratory, as detailed in Lachat Instruments 2003, QuikChem Method 31-115-01-3-A (Phosphate) and QuikChem Method 31-107-04-1-C (Nitrate).

Global stacked sea surface height profiles from Sentinel-3A Synthetic Aperture Radar Mode (SARM) satellite altimeter data (NCEI Accession 0219900)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

NetCDF file result_s3a_sarm_stack.nc contains longitude, latitude, number of cycles, sigma, and stacked sea surface height records for 770 Sentinel-3A Synthetic Aperture Radar Mode (SARM) satellite altimeter passes. Repeat cycles were aligned to a common position along a synthetic track having 20239 records between +/-81.419 latitude. Stacking is the median sea surface height profile from multiple repeat cycles. Sigma is the expected one sigma error in a single measurement. The number of cycles is the quantity that passed selection criteria and were included in a stack.

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This spatial dataset contains a GIS shapefile of shoreline data collected in the field from November 2017 through June 2018 in Mosquito Lagoon and northern Indian River Florida. It also includes (1) wave climate data created through hydrodynamic modeling and frequency analysis of historic data, (2) model outputs of shorelines prioritized for stabilization/restoration, created by combining hydrodynamic data and shoreline data, and (3) model outputs of shoreline hydrodynamic habitat suitability for mangroves.

Rates of denitrification and porewater nutrient concentrations at a saltmarsh in Alabama from 2015-04 to 2016-10 (NCEI Accession 0219938)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset is generated from a study of a saltmarsh on Dauphin Island (30º15.43’N, 88º07.438’W) that is dominated by Spartina alterniflora and is interspersed with Juncus roemerianus. Tides are diurnal with mean tidal amplitude of less than 0.5 m. Replicate sediment cores (95 mm ID; n=5) were collected from Spartina alterniflora and Juncus roemerianus dominated sediments during the April 2015 to October 2016 period. Each core was sectioned between the 0-2 and 5-7 intervals and homogenized. Denitrification rates were measured following the acetylene inhibition technique.
