This dataset consists of digital still images along coral reef transect lines, from which quantitative benthic data are derived from select images via PhotoGrid, a software package that analyzes random points on digital still images of coral reefs and substrate. The benthic data include substrate type and species identification. A total of 10 transects of the Hawaii Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (CRAMP) took place 2017-05-22 to 2017-08-27 at 6 sites on Oahu and Kauai. Most sites consist of two transects along different isobaths-- shallow (~2-4m) and deep (~7-13m) lines.

This dataset contains total particle flux and content, Nd content and isotopic composition, and radiocarbon contents in sinking particles collected by sediment traps deployed at 3 depths on the Northwest Atlantic from 2004 to 2007, and surface sediment samples collected by multicore and boxcore (by R/V Endeavor, R/V Oceanus, and R/V Knorr cruises). Among those data, total sinking particle flux and content and radiocarbon content were previously published in Hwang et al (2009) from 1993 to 2010.

This dataset includes surface underway data collected from R/V Laurence M. Gould in the South Pacific Ocean, South Atlantic Ocean, Southern Ocean, Drake Passage from 2018-12-31 to 2019-12-20. These data include barometric pressure, partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) - water, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature and barometric pressure. The instruments used to collect these data include Carbon dioxide (CO2) gas analyzer and shower head chamber equilibrator for autonomous carbon dioxide (CO2) measurement.

This dataset contains physical, chemical, and biological data collected from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, MBARI, Central California Carbon pH and Oxygen (C3PO) leg 1 Western Flyer cruise (EXPOCODE 31WF20190511) in the Central California Current system between Point Conception and Point Arena from 2019-05-11 to 2019-05-16. Twenty stations were occupied along three across shore transects, extending to ~250 km offshore. Casts were conducted to 2000 m or water column depth, whichever was shallower.

Data were collected in association with the removal of PCB contaminated sediment during the Manistique River Area of Concern Operable Unit 2 remediation construction efforts. Data collected included the following:

(i) Water column turbidity readings acquired using a YSI PRO DSS - handheld multi-parameter instrument for documenting potential impacts to water quality during construction activities;

This dataset includes lakebed maps and associated geospatial data in Lake Michigan within the proposed Wisconsin - Lake Michigan National Marine Sanctuary. Associated data include spatial lakebed mapping priorities, remotely sensed lakebed imagery (LiDAR bathymetry, multibeam bathymetry, backscatter, and sidescan sonar), and underwater photos and videos. The dataset includes original data collections, data assessments, and modeled data. Original data collection spans the years 2017 to 2018, and assessments and modeled data were undertaken from 2017 to 2020.
