This dataset includes lab-based measurements of carbonate substrate bioerosion and calcification using living date mussels (Lithophaga) collected outside Kaneohe Bay, at Site OAH-OCC-005, Hawaiian islands, Pacific Ocean, from 2019-11-21 to 2020-01-08. Lithophaga are important macroboring organisms in the Pacific Ocean, presenting a threat to the persistence of reef frameworks throughout the tropics and subtropics.

This dataset contains visual sightings of blue, sei, fin whales from the research vessel Yushin-Maru No.3 in the North Pacific Ocean. It provides information for the proposed future in-depth assessment of sei and other whales in terms of both abundance and stock structure. This is MSR RATS cruise U2012-001. This data set summarized biological and environmental sampling data from Reef Visual Census (RVC) surveys in southern Florida in conjunction with remote-sensed, high-resolution mapping data to take significant strides in moving from qualitative to quantitative habitat characterization of the RVC coral reef sampling frame. The data set contains two GIS shape files, one for the Dry Tortugas region and one for the Florida Keys, of survey sampling grids with habitat-depths quantitatively characterized to a 50 x 50 m resolution.

This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected during R/V Tangaroa cruises in the South Pacific Ocean from 2020-01-03 to 2020-12-23. These data include fugacity of carbon dioxide (fCO2), sea surface temperature, sea surface salinity and barometric pressure. The instruments used to collect these data include carbon dioxide gas analyzer and shower head chamber equilibrator for autonomous carbon dioxide measurements.

This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, oxygen, and other parameters collected by CTD from research vessel Pelican in the Gulf of Mexico from 2020-09-25 to 2020-10-04. Hydrographic data were collected on a mid-experiment telemetry cruise from an array of moored instrumentation. These data were collected to calibrate the travel time measurements of the moored current- and pressure-recording inverted echo sounders. The data are in NetCDF format.

This data set contains oceanographic data (CTD logs, GIS data), biological tracking logs, and color underwater screen-grab images obtained from fixed system video cameras. The objective was to collect samples of corals and invertebrates, and to examine distributions and coral-invertebrate associations.

This dataset contains cruise report containing spawning stock and paralarvae of the neon flying squid Ommastrephes bartramii from laboratory sample analysis, water temperature and salinity taken by CTD in the North Pacific from the research vessel Kaiyo-Maru, cruise KY1305. This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected during R/V Celtic Explorer research cruises in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2020-02-12 to 2020-07-09. The measurements are done with a pCO2 instrument from General Oceanics (Miami/USA) and is described in detail in Pierrot et al. (2009). Surface water is pumped continuously from the intake to the equilibrator. The equilibrator contains a water spray head, and as the water flows through it the dissolved CO2 equilibrates with the headspace.

This dataset contains cruise report including data on adult Japanese eel, Anguilla japonica, by mid water trawl net, water temperature and salinity by CTD, and other parameters collected from the research vessel Kaiyo-maru in the North Pacific.
