Eastward and northward components of ocean current, water temperature, and others collected from moorings in North East Pacific Coast from 1977-10-07 to 1978-10-29 (NCEI Accession 0163986)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
As part of this project the University of Washington maintained 2 current meter moorings, Ocelot (OC) and Elephant (EL), from Oct. 1977 through Oct. 1978 across the continental slope at 45-20º N off Cascade Head on the Oregon Coast. All current meters were Aanderaa instruments. Speed and direction were measured and rotated to true North, then resolved into u and v components. All meters had temperature sensors.

Fluorescence collected from moored buoy in Ross Sea from 2005-12-28 to 2006-02-01 (NCEI Accession 0163987)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains in situ fluorimeter data, collected in the southern Ross sea at two mooring sites for 3 depth levels (from 6 to 40m) between December 2005 and February 2006. The moorings were deployed and retrieved from R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer. The sample interval is 10 minutes. Original data received as Excel spreadsheet; archival copy available in OpenDocument spreadsheet format in the data/1-data/ directory.

Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data set contains December 2004 to January 2005 current meter measurements of surface layer speed and direction from project Interannual variability in vertical export in the Ross Sea (IVARS). Data sampling at 5-minute intervals. Original files provided in Microsoft Excel format. NCEI created redundant copies in CSV format.

Estuarine Living Marine Resources: Southeast Regional Distribution and Abundance (NCEI Accession 0163992)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This is the original (1991) Southeast regional component of NOAA's Estuarine Living Marine Resources (ELMR) Project, a national database of ecologically and economically important fishes and invertebrates in the Nation's estuaries. The distribution and relative abundance are depicted in a consistent format for 40 species of fishes and invertebrates, in 20 estuaries in coastal North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and the east coast of Florida. Species were selected according to a set of criteria, which consider their commercial, recreational, and ecological value.

Estuarine Living Marine Resources: Gulf of Mexico Regional Distribution and Abundance (NCEI Accession 0163993)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This is the original (1992) Gulf of Mexico regional component of NOAA's Estuarine Living Marine Resources (ELMR) Project, a national database of ecologically and economically important fishes and invertebrates in the Nation's estuaries. The distribution and relative abundance are depicted in a consistent format for 44 species of fishes and invertebrates, in 31 estuaries in coastal Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. Species were selected according to a set of criteria, which consider their commercial, recreational, and ecological value.

Water temperature, ocean currents, and other parameters collected from moorings in the Ross Sea from 1998-02-12 to 2011-11-12 (NCEI Accession 0164025)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset consists of physical parameters of sea water (temperature, salinity, current speed and direction) measured at specific depths on a mooring in the Terra Nova Bay polynya close to the coast at about 130 m water depth. The data have been collected in the framework of the Italian marine observatory in the Ross Sea established since 1994 by the P.N.R.A. (National Research Program in Antarctica). Data files were received in Matlab data format, which NCEI has exported into netCDF. Both formats are available.

Eastward and northward components of ocean current and water temperature collected from moorings in the vicinity of Quinault Canyon in the North East Pacific Coast from 1981-10-02 to 1982-01-19 (NCEI Accession 0164026)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The University of Washington maintained 5 current meter moorings, QC811 through QC815 in and around Quinault Canyon. Current meters were all Aanderaa (AA) instruments which measured speed, direction and temperature. The AA data was sampled in 20 minute intervals. Speed and direction were measured and rotated to true North. Data was first edited for spurious values, then speed and direction were independently filtered with a 5 point binomial filter spanning approximately 1.5 hours and resolved into u and v components. Results from this project can be found in: Hickey, B.M.
