ANN-NEP: A monthly surface pCO2 product for the Northeast Pacific open ocean from 1998-01-01 to 2019-12-31 (NCEI Accession 0277836)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
ANN-NEP is a gridded surface ocean pCO2 data product for the Northeast Pacific open ocean. It was created using non-linear functional relationships between pCO2 observations from the Surface Ocean CO2 Atlas v2021 as well as additional data from Fisheries and Oceans Canada February 2019 Line P cruise, and a variety of independent predictor variables (see supplemental information) using an artificial neural network self-organizing-map-feed-forward-network approach described and evaluated in Duke et al. (2023).

Sediment grain size, organic content, and Pb-210 excess activity in Coos Bay from 2021-05-17 to 2021-05-19 (NCEI Accession 0277842)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Sediment cores were collected from intertidal flats and shallow subtidal areas throughout the Coos Bay Estuary in May 2021 using a push corer or Russian peat corer as outlined in Souza et al., 2022 (MS thesis). Cores were typically on the order of tens of centimeters to one meter long. Cores were subsampled in the field in 1-cm increments and returned to the lab for grain-size, loss-on-ignition (organic content), and/or Pb-210 isotope analyses on selected intervals. Not every interval of each core was analyzed for every parameter. Sandier cores were not analyzed for Pb-210.

Akule and 'Opelu Larval Data from Plankton Tows Conducted off the Kona Coast in West Hawai'i between 1997 and 2018 (NCEI Accession 0277846)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data described here includes the analysis of plankton samples for the presence and size of akule and 'opelu larvae, as well as the tow metadata of samples including tow type, mesh size, and distance from shore. This data was collected as a part of Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC) Ecosystem Sciences Division (ESD)'s West Hawai'i Ichthyoplankton Time Series Project. This data was produced from analysis of plankton samples collected off the Kona Coast of Hawai'i from 1997 throughout 2018 by NOAA ships and small boats.

Multistressor Observations of Coastal Hypoxia and Acidification (MOCHA) Synthesis (NCEI Accession 0277984)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The California Current System (CCS) is a highly complex upwelling system supporting productive fisheries and high biodiversity, but it is vulnerable to warming, deoxygenation, and acidification. Data fragmentation and limited data availability constrain our understanding of when and where stressful coastal conditions manifest. Here, we present a large synthesis of compiled, formatted, and quality-controlled publicly available temperature, dissolved oxygen, and carbonate-system observations to create an accessible, high-resolution database for mapping marine climate stress in U.S.

NCCOS Assessment: A Wind Energy Siting Analysis for the Gulf of Mexico Call Area, 1993-01-01 to 2022-03-04 (NCEI Accession 0277985)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data collection contains geospatial data from models predicting the suitability of Wind Energy Areas (WEA) for the Gulf of Mexico Call Area. It includes a constraints shapefile created using 18 data layers that represent conflicts for offshore wind development. Also included is a final suitability shapefile, created using 53 data layers. The geometric mean of the six submodels (i.e., national security, industry, and operation, natural and cultural resources, fisheries, logistics, and economics) was used to calculate an overall suitability score.

Meteorological Data from Oliver Springs Airport, 2019-06-28 to 2021-12-26 (NCEI Accession 0278335)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset was collected by a meteorological tower installed by NOAA/OAR/ARL/ATDD at the Oliver Springs Airport near Oliver Springs, TN. This tower was fixed to one end of a permanent shelter and the instruments mounted at various locations above the ground as noted in the metadata. The data from each instrument was collected continuously by a Campbell Scientific CR3000 data logger from June 28, 2019 until December 26, 2021 at 10 second intervals.
