Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard Current Meter Data (F015) format.

Benthic macrofauna, sediments and sediment metals were collected for a 1974 National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) survey in the Baltimore Canyon Trough off New Jersey. Data were collected using sediment sampler and net casts. Data were submitted by Robert N. Reid of the NMFS in Highlands. Data were collected from 22 May 1974 to 27 May 1974. Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard F132- Benthic Organisms and F144- Marine Toxic Substances and Pollutants formats.

The ocean station data was submitted by Deutsches Ozeanographisches Datenzentrum (German Oceanographic data center) located in Hamburg, Germany. Data contains measurements of water depth and other parameters used to collect information using bottle, Secchi disks and meteorological sensors. Original data submitted on tape has been converted into current NODC data storage format.
