NOAA Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Mole Fractions from Mauna Loa Observatory, Hawaii, United States
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data set contains continuous measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide mole fractions from the NOAA/ESRL observatory at Mauna Loa, Hawaii. Data are expressed in hourly, daily and monthly averages in units of micromole/mole for the time period of 1974-2013. Data are archived at the NOAA National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), but are produced and available from NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL).

National Weather Service (NWS) Station Information System (SIS), Version 1 (Version Superseded)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
**Please note, this dataset has been superseded by a newer version (see below). New version is only used starting from the last date this version was updated.** National Weather Service (NWS) Station Information System (SIS) contains observing station metadata from November 2014 to present. These are renditions are used to update the Historical Observing Metadata Repository (HOMR) daily.

NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of Leaf Area Index (LAI) and Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FAPAR), Version 4 (Version Superseded)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
*Note: This dataset version has been superseded by a newer version. It is highly recommended that users access the current version. Users should only use this version for special cases, such as reproducing studies that used this version.* This dataset contains gridded daily Leaf Area Index (LAI) and Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FAPAR) derived from the NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) Surface Reflectance.

NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of Solar Spectral Irradiance (SSI), NRLSSI Version 2 (Version Superseded)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
*Note: This dataset version has been superseded by a newer version. It is highly recommended that users access the current version. Users should only use this version for special cases, such as reproducing studies that used this version.* This Climate Data Record (CDR) contains solar spectral irradiance (SSI) as a function of time and wavelength created with the Naval Research Laboratory model for spectral and total irradiance (version 2).

NOAA Extended Reconstructed Sea Surface Temperature (ERSST), Version 5
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The NOAA Extended Reconstructed Sea Surface Temperature (ERSST) dataset is a global monthly sea surface temperature dataset derived from the International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Dataset (ICOADS). It is produced on a 2 x 2 degree grid with spatial completeness enhanced using statistical methods. This monthly analysis begins in January 1854 continuing to the present and includes anomalies computed with respect to a 1971-2000 monthly climatology. Version 5 (v5) is the newest version of ERSST.

Russian Federation Snow Depth and Ice Crust Surveys
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Russian Federation Snow Depth and Ice Crust Surveys, dataset DSI-9808, contains routine snow surveys that run throughout the cold season every 10 days (every five days during the intense snowmelt) at 517 meteorological stations in Russia for 1966 - 2009. Snow surveys were run separately along all types of environment typical for the site for 1 to 2 km, (fields, forest). At each 10 (forest) to 20 (field) meters the observer made snow depth measurements and at each 100 to 200 meters a more comprehensive suite of measurements is made.

NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of Zonal Mean Ozone Binary Database of Profiles (BDBP), version 1.0
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of Zonal Mean Ozone Binary Database of Profiles (BDBP) dataset is a vertically resolved, global, gap-free and zonal mean dataset that was created with a multiple-linear regression model. The dataset has a monthly resolution and spans the period 1979 to 2007. It provides global product in 5 degree zonal bands, and 70 vertical levels of the atmosphere. The regression is based on monthly mean ozone concentrations that were calculated from several different satellite instruments and global ozone soundings.

Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) - Monthly, Version 2.2 (Version Superseded)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
**Version 2.2 of the dataset has been superseded by a newer version. Users should not use version 2.2 except in rare cases (e.g., when reproducing previous studies that used version 2.2).** The Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) comprises a total of 27 products with the two primary products being the monthly satellite-gauge and associated precipitation error estimates. The Version 2.2 monthly product covers the period January 1979 to the present, with a delay of two to three months for data reception and processing.
