Parrotfish surveys and paired coral and parrotfish coral predation surveys conducted in the Caribbean Sea and Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary from 2013-07-02 to 2019-09-11 (NCEI Accession 0293333)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Data associated with the publication 'Ecological drivers of parrotfish coral predation vary across spatial scales', comparing parrotfish coral predation intensity as it relates to parrotfish density/biomass, coral cover, and other ecological variables from the scale of individual coral colonies to reefs spanning four regions of the Greater Caribbean. This dataset includes several datasets:

1) regional_coral_scar_data.csv: Surveys of coral colonies (with and without parrotfish predation scars) across all regions.

Real-time profile data assembled by Canada Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) and submitted on 2024-05-30 (NCEI Accession 0293357)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset includes near real-time global ocean temperature and salinity measurements taken by shipboard observers or automated instruments and received daily by the Marine Environmental Data Section (MEDS) of the Ocean Sciences Branch of Fisheries and Oceans Canada from the Global Telecommunication System (GTS) of the WMO World Weather Watch. MEDS applies the documented GTSPP quality assessment and duplicates removal procedures and forwards the quality-checked data three times each week to the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI).

NWS Drought Information Statements; 20230901 to 20231231 (NCEI Accession 0293388)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

National Weather Service (NWS) Drought Information Statements are produced by NWS Weather Forecast Offices to describe conditions associated with drought in their area. They provide up-to-date reports on the current drought situation for the Weather Forecast Offices' county warning and forecast area. These statements summarize recent weather and hydrologic conditions, discuss local drought impacts, and provide a local drought outlook.

Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) profile data collected from the research vessel Discovery on the Scotian Shelf and in Gulf of Maine during the Maritimes Region Atlantic Zone Monitoring Program (AZMP) 2023 fall survey, September 13 to October 1, 2023. (NCEI Accession 0293400)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset includes water temperature, salinity, and other parameter profiles taken by CTD from the R/V Discovery, cruise DY16902, on the NW Atlantic shelf. Dataset consists of netCDF files of downcast CTD data collected at 84 CTD stations. This cruise is U.S. State Department MSR U2023-013 as part of the World Data Service for Oceanography.

Satellite Ocean Heat Content Suite from 2024-05-01 to 2024-05-20 (NCEI Accession 0293503)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains an operational Satellite Ocean Heat Content Suite (SOHCS) product generated by NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS). The operational algorithm implemented was developed at the University of Miami/Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS). The SOHCS product measures the integrated vertical temperature from the sea surface to the depth of the 26°C isotherm.

Water physical and chemical vertical observational data at multiple levels from fixed mooring CHRP1 in the central basin of Lake Erie, Great Lakes region from 2023-05-18 to 2023-09-23 collected by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory and the Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research, University of Michigan. (NCEI Accession 0293513)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The data in this record contains the physical and chemical vertical observational data from fixed mooring CHRP1 in the central basin of Lake Erie, Great Lakes region from 2023-05-18 through 2023-09-29. The approximate depth at CHRP1 is 12.2 m. Observations were collected at hourly or sub-hourly time intervals for water temperature and dissolved oxygen. The moorings are designed in a U-shape with a spar buoy and a subsurface buoy approximately 300 ft apart. The spar buoy has a surface expression float and holds the upper water column sensors.
