Low resolution real-time physical trajectory profile data from glider ru32 deployed by Rutgers University; Center for Ocean Observing Leadership (RU COOL) in the Mid Atlantic Bight from 2024-04-29 to 2024-05-29 (NCEI Accession 0293839)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Deployment of a Slocum glider to perform seasonal surveys of dissolved oxygen concentrations in the shallow coastal waters of New Jersey. This deployment is part of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's yearly coastal waters oxygen monitoring efforts. This glider carried a CTD, Seabird Scientific ECO triplet fluorescence-backscatter-chlorophyll a sensor, and Aanderaa dissolved oxygen sensor.

GHRSST Level 2P NOAA ACSPO SST v2.80 from VIIRS on NOAA-21 Satellite (GDS version 2) for 2024-06-14 (NCEI Accession 0294016)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The N21-VIIRS-L2P-ACSPO-v2.80 dataset produced by the NOAA ACSPO system derives the Subskin Sea Surface Temperature (SST) from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) onboard the The Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS)-2 satellite, renamed as NOAA-21 (N21). N21 was launched on Nov. 10, 2022, the 3rd satellite in the US NOAA latest JPSS series.

ModMon Neuse River Estuary and Pamlico Sound Water Quality Monitoring from 1994-01-24 to 2022-01-22 (NCEI Accession 0294041)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The Neuse River Estuary Water Quality Dataset is a compilation of the biological, chemical and physical water quality data that was collected along the length of the Neuse River Estuary, North Carolina from January 24, 1994 to the present. The primary purpose of this dataset was to provide long-term environmental information to supplement experimental, process-based research, including the Atlantic Coast Environmental Indicators Consortium (ACE-INC) project as well as other laboratory studies.

SAMOS project underway oceanographic and quality-controlled meteorological data collected aboard NOAA Ship Reuben Lasker from 2024-05-01 to 2024-05-31 (NCEI Accession 0294080)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The data logging system on NOAA Ship Reuben Lasker recorded underway oceanographic and meteorological data from various instruments while cruising in the North Pacific Ocean from 2024-05-01 to 2024-05-31. During this period, as part of the Shipboard Automated Meteorological and Oceanographic System (SAMOS) project, the data logging system sent the data daily via e-mail to Florida State University (FSU), where the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS) quality-controlled (QCed) the meteorological data.

Low resolution real-time physical trajectory profile data from glider sp062 deployed by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in the East Coast - US/Canada from 2024-04-10 to 2024-06-07 (NCEI Accession 0294107)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The overarching goal of this project is to collect high resolution transects across the Gulf Stream. Though the speed of the Gulf Stream greatly exceeds the speed of a glider, gliders can be flown across the current as they are advected downstream. Missions prior to 2015 were conducted downstream (northeast) of Cape Hatteras, primarily between Cape Cod and Bermuda; missions since 2015 begin in Miami, FL and are planned to end on the New England continental shelf.
