Carbon-related, hydrographic data collected during th NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown 4th Gulf of Mexico Ecosystems and Carbon Cycle (GOMECC-4) cruise in Gulf of Mexico and North Atlantic Ocean from 2021-09-13 to 2021-10-21 (NCEI Accession 0294320)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains seawater analyses conducted during the fourth Gulf of Mexico Ecosystems and Carbon Cycle (GOMECC-4) cruise on board the NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown departing from Key West, FL into the Gulf of Mexico and then around the coastal waters of the Gulf of Mexico in a counter-clockwise direction. Samples were collected using a CTD-O2 rosette equipped with 24 niskin-style bottles. The cruise took place from September 13–October 21, 2021 and ended in St. Petersburg, FL.

Water temperature, salinity, and others collected by CTD from the passenger ship LE COMMANDANT CHARCOT in Northwestern Passages, Northwest Atlantic Ocean (limit-40 W), and North Pacific Ocean from 2023-09-12 to 2023-10-09 (NCEI Accession 0294335)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and others collected by CTD from LE COMMANDANT CHARCOT in Northwestern Passages, Northwest Atlantic Ocean, and North Pacific Ocean. Due to global warming, the Arctic is experiencing rising temperatures resulting in the thawing of permafrost soil and an increase of glacial mass loss. These processes are expected to increase the flux of inorganic and organic nutrients into coastal ecosystems, reduce the salinity of surface waters, and change light conditions of the water column.

NCCOS Mapping: Bathymetric Lidar Waveform Metrics for Saipan, The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), 2019-07-11 to 2019-07-31 (NCEI Accession 0294340)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This data package contains bathymetric light detection and ranging (lidar) Hawkeye-4X waveforms metrics (LWFM) for 0 to 50 meter depths around the island of Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). Bathymetric lidar waveforms depict the amount of laser light returned from the seafloor recorded during each laser pulse. Typically, only the leading edge of the seafloor return is used to calculate bottom depth. However, the shape of the seafloor return also contains novel information about the physical structure and biological cover on the seafloor (Collin et al.

Physical (Hydrography), chemical (CTD), and biological (Water Quality) processes of the Texas-Louisiana continental shelf, 2020 (NCEI Accession 0294428)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Two sets of CTD data were taken during the 2020 Shelfwide Hypoxia cruise off the Louisiana continental shelf. Hydrographic data were obtained with the LUMCON SeaBird 911+ CTD system and a YSI 6820. Nutrient, surface salinity, Secchi depth, Winkler results, and station information data were also acquired. Note that aspects of this year’s cruise were restricted due to the covid-19 pandemic. Only a limited number of vessel and scientific crew were allowed onboard, which meant that 24 hour operations were not possible.

Physical (Hydrography), chemical (CTD), and biological (Water Quality) processes of the Texas-Louisiana continental shelf, 2021 (NCEI Accession 0294429)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Two sets of CTD data were taken during the 2021 Shelfwide Hypoxia cruise off the Louisiana continental shelf. Hydrographic data were obtained with the LUMCON SeaBird 911+ CTD system and a YSI EXO3. Nutrient, pigment, suspended sediment, surface salinity, Secchi depth, Winkler results, and station information data were also acquired. PAR data were not collected in the 2021 dataset due to a cable malfunction at the first station on the cruise which also meant that CPAR data could not be included.
