Microplastic concentrations in the gastrointestinal tracts of planktivorous fishes from the Thoothukudi region, India from 2018-11-03 to 2019-05-03 (NCEI Accession 0294675)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This study estimated the concentration of microplastics (i.e. plastics measuring less than 5 mm; reported in unit of count per individual) in the gastrointestinal tracts of planktivorous fishes Sardinella gibbosa (Goldstripe Sardinella) and Leiognathus lineolatus (Pony fish) from the Thoothukudi region, India from 2018-11-03 to 2019-05-03. The samples were caught with surface gillnet in the nearshore waters (5–10 nautical miles). Total length and weight were recorded for the samples. This dataset contains the mean results from the fish samples, in a spreadsheet format.

Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This study estimated the concentration of microplastics (i.e. plastics measuring less than 5mm) in subsurface coastal waters along the southern coast of Viti Levu in Fiji, South Pacific, during 2018-01-27 to 2018-03-05. Microplastics in the surface water were collected with Niskin bottles. The dataset includes temperature, dissolved oxygen and salinity measurements. This dataset contains the results from all 84 samples, in a spreadsheet format.

Low resolution real-time physical trajectory profile data from glider cp_379 deployed by OOI Coastal & Global Scale Nodes (OOI CGSN) in the Mid-Atlantic Bight from 2024-05-23 to 2024-06-08 (NCEI Accession 0294834)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Pioneer Mid-Atlantic Bight (MAB) Array, located off the coast of North Carolina, consists of a mooring array supplemented by glider and AUV transects. The Pioneer MAB Array is designed to resolve transport processes and ecosystem dynamics in the vicinity of the shelfbreak front, which is a region of complex oceanographic dynamics, intermittent mesoscale variability, and enhanced biological productivity. The Array collects high-resolution, multidisciplinary, measurements spanning the continental shelf and slope on horizontal scales from a few kilometers to about one hundred kilometers.

Floating microplastics abundance in Galway Bay, Northeast Atlantic Ocean, collected aboard R/V Celtic Voyager during 2017-10-09 to 2017-12-08 (NCEI Accession 0294865)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This study estimated the concentration of floating microplastics (i.e. plastics measuring less than 5mm) in the Galway Bay, a coastal embayment in Northeast Atlantic Ocean during 2017-10-09 to 2017-12-08. Microplastics were collected with a manta net trawl aboard R/V Celtic Voyager. A detailed breakdown of microplastic particles is provided. This includes color, length, and width. Volume of water sampled, sampling area and wind data are included. This dataset contains the results from all 20 microplastic samples, in a spreadsheet format.

Low resolution real-time physical trajectory profile data from glider ce_382 deployed by Oregon State; CEOAS; OOI Endurance in the Northeast Pacific Ocean from 2024-06-18 to 2024-07-03 (NCEI Accession 0294892)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Endurance Array is a multi-scaled array utilizing fixed and mobile assets to observe cross-shelf and along-shelf variability in the coastal upwelling region off the Oregon and Washington coasts. The array also provides an extensive spatial footprint that encompasses a prototypical eastern boundary current regime and connectivity with the Cabled Array. OOI Coastal Glider deployments bridge the distances between the fixed sites of the Coastal Endurance Array and allow for adaptive sampling of the coastal waters of Washington and Oregon.

U.S. Virgin Islands Coral Reef Resilience Prioritization: Coral Reef Resilience in the US Virgin Islands, 2021-07-31 to 2023-12-31 (NCEI Accession 0294911)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset includes relative resilience scores for the US Virgin Islands Coral Reef Ecosystem. The score is composed of 18 indicators which were weighted and combined to create the final resilience values. All indicator values are included in this dataset along with the final resilience scores. The information is provided within the National Coral Reef Monitoring Program’s 50m x 50m survey grid.
