NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) orthorectified mosaic image tiles for select coastal bays, Texas, 2007 (NCEI Accession 0086051)

These data are a collection of natural color (RGB) and color infrared (IR) ortho images from selected coastal bays of Texas. The actual project boundary located within this area is comprised of 6 areas along the coast of the state of Texas including Corpus Christi Bay (app. 356 square miles), Redfish Bay (app. 62 square miles), Aransas Bay (app. 285 square miles), Copano Bay (app. 158 square miles), Upper Laguna Madre (app. 313 square miles), and Baffin Bay (app. 232 square miles). A total of 762 orthos (381 natural color and 381 color infrared) were produced to cover this area.

Data are in GeoTIFF format with associated browse graphics and metadata.

NOAA submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) habitat mapping orthoimagery, collection subset 1 of 2, coastal North Carolina and SE Virginia, 2007-2008 (NCEI Accession 0086096)

Orthophotography was flown in coastal regions of North Carolina and southeastern Virginia in an effort to establish long term mapping and monitoring of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) habitat in these areas. Orthophotos were tiled to the standard USGS DOQQ grid, with a small (app. 100 m) buffer produced with each tile to prevent gaps in coverage. Compliance with the accuracy standard was ensured by the collection of photo identifiable GPS ground control after the acquisition of aerial imagery.
