Results of Oceanographic Observations in Areas under National Jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands taken by CTD and ADCP from the R/V Ryofu Maru, cruise RD25-01, on 2025-03-15 (NCEI Accession 0311540)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
RD25-01 cruise was conducted by the Japan Meteorological Agency's research vessel "Ryofu Maru" from from February to March , 2025. This dataset reports the results of marine observations conducted within the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands during this voyage. The major objectives of the cruise are to monitor ocean conditions in the western North Pacific on a seasonal basis. During the cruise, vertical profiles of seawater temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nutrients and currents were observed.

Yearlong records of ADCP ocean ourrents (U, V, W) collected by the EcoFOCI group at NOAA, PMEL from eight Chukchi Sea Mooring sites C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C10, C11 and C12 in the eastern Chukchi Sea, Alaska as part of the Distributed Biological Observatory – Northern Chukchi Integrated Study research cruise, 2018-08-11 to 2019-08-20 (NCEI Accession 0311544)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
These time series datasets consist of current data (U, V, W) from moored instruments at eight PMEL, Ecosystems & Fisheries-Oceanography Coordinated Investigations (EcoFOCI) stations in the Chukchi Sea (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C10, C11, C12). The Chukchi region is a shallow and seasonally ice-covered shelf, and instruments were located at near-bottom depths to avoid possible ice interference. Data were collected using Teledyne RDI Workhorse Sentinel ADCP (WCP) instruments, which were deployed on year-long moorings in August, 2018 from the U.S.

Coral bleaching data from BleachWatch in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary from 2024-05-28 to 2024-10-15 (NCEI Accession 0311613)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
As the occurence and severity of coral bleaching has increased in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS) since the 1980’s, The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and other scientists have developed remote sensing products and a network of environmental monitoring stations in order to try to more accurately predict coral bleaching in the Florida Keys.
