This data set contains field test data from two field tests conducted to test the wave measurement performance capabilities of three instruments, a microwave radar water level sensor, a Sofar Spotter Buoy, and a Sofar Spotter Buoy Smart Mooring System. The field tests took place in 2023 and 2024 in the Chesapeake Bay near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel. The data set also includes measurements from an Acoustic Wave and Current profiler that was used as a reference. The AWAC was located on the seafloor at approximately 16 m depth at 37.0334N and 76.0836W.
